Sorry Wally. My mistake .Of course Tyrone won in 21 playing brilliant football. On Tyrone congratulations on the Under 20 victory.Tyrone were far better than Kerry. They have some super players and young McElholm at centre forward is just class.Future looking bright for Tyrone.

Ya but you're trying to make it sound better than it actually is are you not? If you're going to much that stat Ulster are level with Munster and supposed weakest province. oneoff (UK) - Posts: 1472 - 21/05/2024 13:06:24 2546137 Link 0 |
I'm just pointing out that beyond Kery and Dublin, Ulster counties have had the widest raging success over the last 20/30 years which some seem to dismiss.

The game this weekend between Donegal and Tyrone will be interesting. Will the 4 week rest help Tyrone to prepare better and get players back or will the momentum from winning Ulster carry Donegal through. Winning the ulster championship probably doesn't help in the quest for an All Ireland as you pick up injuries and eventually run out of gas but its a really great competition to win. 8 out of the 9 Ulster teams have made an All Ireland Semi final this century and 4 have made a final and 3 different winners. shaggykev (Donegal) - Posts: 286 - 22/05/2024 11:05:21 2546337 Link 0 |
Pay no attention to yer man. All he does is post anti Ulster rants while claiming to be from the UK without a county to his name. Who knows what his issues are but they manifest as petty point scoring shots against Ulster counties nine times out of ten on here.

Explain what was "anti Ulster" in what I said? The "anti Ulster" card being played anything you don't agree with something, even when it's an actual fact, is getting boring now. oneoff (UK) - Posts: 1472 - 22/05/2024 11:51:20 2546359 Link 0 |
It's your only form of communication on here. It's there for all to see just like your last few posts on this thread, zero credit to anything Ulster counties have achieved as if the rest of the country outside of Kerry and Dublin have done any better. No point in me stating anything more obvious than that. Pot/kettle when you say 'boring' at this stage.

Like your only form of communication is everyone who disagrees with me is anti Ulster? Btw I post a lot about anything other than Ulster. Now how about you answer the question I asked you?
oneoff (UK) - Posts: 1472 - 22/05/2024 13:34:36 2546388 Link 0 |
Not the case with me at all. I'll happily take on board differing opinions. The problem I have is when I see the same poster making the same blankets comments about the same counties, even when they achieved something. I already answered your question too. You are arguing with facts that other posters have made about Ulster teams. Maybe you can explain why...

The Ulster teams just are not very good. They are also miles off it tactically - Derry and Armagh are coached by men who are either comically past it or have shown that they will never arrive anywhere. The Ulster championship gets a lot of coverage early in the season because they are going at it hammer and tongs - not much football going on - very early in the year, and they get exposed when they finish their little skirmishes. crankyincorofin (Galway) - Posts: 98 - 22/05/2024 14:12:24 2546406 Link 1 |
Yes and I also stated a fact did I not? So again answer the question I asked you?

Is that not a bit rich as Galway one an AI 23 years ago and have only played in 1 AI final since then. Considering Tyrone have been in 5 finals (winning 4 of them), Donegal winning one and Armagh winning once since Galway one their last AI. If ulster teams are not that good then they must still be significantly better than Galway given they have played in more recent AI finals and actually one the AI more recently than Galway have. kevin03 (Tyrone) - Posts: 280 - 22/05/2024 15:49:48 2546432 Link 1 |
