Wicklow was different as form suggested a handy Westmeath win., Biggest upset of year to date, excpet maybe Waterford although Tipp on rapidly downward spiral since 2020.

I had tipped Cavan to win, simply because it was a local derby and Monaghan are struggling at the moment. Waterford winning never crossed my mind (I don't think anyone else though that either). I was going to chance a win for Wicklow but I chickened out at the last minute. Dessie Dolan saying that every team deserves to play for the Sam Maguire sounds very hollow now because even in the old format they would be gone by this evening.
