Gaa Go Midweek Show

(Oldest Posts First)

See Gaa go have announced a free to air show specifically for football on Tuesdays during the championship and a football/hurling analysis show on Thursday. Exciting to see a potential alternative to the Sunday game and will hopefully push RTE to be abit more creative and hopefully revamp the show. Hopefully for all Gaa fans its a success because it is badly needed!!

Well done to the broadcasters on BBC North on winning their award for coverage of last years All Ireland football final.

Yeah great coverage and punditry from the BBC, light years ahead of RTE that's for sure.

Watched it back a few days after the final. Well put together show.

The BBC coverage of the Ulster Championship is excellent. GAA Social on BBC Sounds is well worth a listen too.

Not sure if this is right place for this..I only heard this morning that under 20 championship gone from tg4,being shown now on clubber tv..a real shame as this has been super competition in the last 10 years, and now gone from our screens again..

Think its a case that the early round robin provincial games are on Clubber and the knockouts in May will be on TG4, but open to correction.

Hope your right terriblefootwork..there were great games free to air in last few years but now it looks like money is more important than people getting to see our games..it's the same with an extra €5 onto price of tickets and €100 now for all Ireland finals..

Minor and u20 round robins were on clubber last year too. Don't think there were ever round tobin games on tg4.

Both Munster u20 hurling games will be shown on TG4 YouTube tonight, you need to find more reliable sources.

I was delighted to be able to watch the limerick/Clare ..I was told by a person involved in academy set up..I've asked before why isn't the news channel used to show a few more games,it's being used tonight because Ireland/England is on RTÉ 2..the Gaa go thing will come to light again in next few weeks big time..why has it never being explained properly about how RTÉ and croke park came up with the arrangement..I'm hoping when it runs out that maybe virgin/tg4 might show interest or combine to show the games..does anyone know what revenue was brought in from the set up??

They seem to be going for a very similar format to Stick to Football with the Sky lads.

As I said in previous post ..hurling starts next week but cork/Waterford not free to air..surely it would make more since to show Munster hurling with so many football matches later on year with qualifiers..also thought Gaa go were covering the Saturday matches but I see RTÉ are showing some football next Saturday evening..I know people will say I'm biased towards hurling but football means nothing now til qualifiers start..I'd like to know what others think..
