Thanks for all the wonderfull comments / encouragement/ suggestions / promptings and other contributions. It is to be noted by Tomsmith and indeed ( wth dismay ) by the great Mrs T thgat my original post should have stated Tomsmith intends to retire form intercounty posting on Hoganstand at the end of 2024 . So all of you will have the benefit of my intelligent / informative posts for one more year only" Good stuff. By the end of 2024 we'll surely have convinced you to extend this deadline. Keep the posts coming. bdbuddah (Meath) - Posts: 1388 - 09/01/2024 11:16:56

It is getting close to the end of 2024 , in which I promised as a senior poster not to continue past that date , guiding poster who require guiding, I am coming under severe pressure from, the crew in Kells the Imperial crew to extend my proposed satanical for an extended period. All sort of questions have been put to me like have I been bullied by Ki---g Fiel-s, Vik--g 96, or that other nonsensical amadan that responds to my intelligent posts in a negative way. Should I relent in my proposed retirement views I feel that we senior poster require a appraisal crew set up that would monitor less intelligent posters and provide Guidance . I am will to do my bit to improve Hoganstand .

Actual facts do matter but only to the diminishing numbers unfortunately that believe them or want to. The voices of the alternative facts drown out truth by shear volume of numbers. This seems to be the trend in all aspects of today's society. Including this little forum that does not have life and death consequences.

After reading your post a few times a couple of different interpretations stood out and so I choose one that stood out a little bit more than the others.
If facts are facts, then I will believe them and so should everyone else that those facts apply to, in my view there is no alternative to "Actual facts" and so if someone wants to express their opinion on this little forum that does not have life and death consequences, they shouldn't let that put them off, even if it means the tail seems to wag the dog so the status quo remains.
Yours was an interesting post, a bit cryptic even.

Tacai from County Leitrim Tomsmith here Its ironic that you would mention Jason who was famous as a singer / songwriter from the USA.. We would be noted to Sheamus Mc Enteee in Ballyhaise, Ian Corrigan in Belturbet and the Mighty Avons who had Larry Cunnighan who recorded Lovely Leitrim .. It In June 2024, Derulo launched his own "JASON" cryptocurrency on the Solana blockchain,. Anything involving money is very important to any Cavan person.. So well done Tacai for associating a Cavan man to Jason

Calling Tomsmith…. You're only 9 posts shy of 4K nuggets of wisdom on this noble forum. As the man who discovered David Givney, fought valiantly for Divisional teams in Cavan, supported Terry Hyland, encouraged folk to partake in refreshments in the Imperial and promoted thrift at all times you'll hardly let the 4K milestone pass by. A prophet isn't always recognised in his own land but a profit is always appreciated. Carry on.

Boxty eater from County Leitrim Tomsmith here from Cavan Town , Boxth its odious of you as a Lad from County Leitrim , whose team got a fare hiding at the weekend, was it 0--6 to 2-20 to even come on to Hoganstand the next day. many the supporter would be gone to ground . But you are right in what you say about promoting Divisional teams and David Givney ough that was years ago. But as asenior Poster I do not look at the number of posts a person has because one could have 7 or eight hundreed and have posted nothing but rubbish most of the time . I know Boxty in the past you post pure rubbish a few ties but my comments are across the board and not about you .But back to the hammering youse got yesterday I hewat that faie, ladies of Leitrim won out at the end of a rip roaring game.
