Recently 5 brothers played a competitive hurling match for Sligo. Surely that must be the most brothers that ever played for a County team in a competition. Any ideas ? eoinog (Sligo) - Posts: 1957 - 03/01/2024 10:15:38 2518136 Link 0 |
You could be correct Eoin.A good few counties had 3 siblings play and I know Kerry had 4 Sheehy brothers in the 50s or 60s.Kilkenny had 3 or 4 Fennelly brothers. Now while im not 100% I think 5 Connolly bros might have played hurling for Galway.John Michael Joe Paraig and I think Gerry.Great question.

6 Delaney brothers, Brian, Fergal, Niall, Ruairi, George and Pat from the Tooreen club, hurled for Mayo in the 90s.

Most Dub brothers I can recall playing on the same team, and on the same day, were P.J, Mick and Vinnie Holden of Cuala. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3118 - 03/01/2024 15:46:27 2518228 Link 0 |
That's great. Did they all play on the same day?
