It's possible Kiely could be in running as a FF candidate in next election. Also touted that he might be part of JP's team for Ryder Cup.

Havnt seen much on this forum lately..first up how are minor and under 20 fixtures taking place so close to each other??also some minors at club level are wanted for adult teams,which means they could have 3 games in seven days..what's the hurry with under 20??I know people will disagree with my view..another thing why are limerick matches not being shown on limerick Gaa or on clubber tv??othercounties also offer discounted tickets to go to a number of games over the weekend,I see our neighbours in Clare did it over the weekend..are our county board dining on the senior success of last 6 years and forgetting completely about promotion of games and keeping young people interested and involved..not much coverage given to underage academey teams this past weekend and no updates at any stage unless I was looking in wrong places.. Going to be abit of nightmare trying to get all those U20 fixtures played for clubs but some attempt needs to be made to try and get played as early as possible otherwise they will run into December which is not ideal either There is alot of amalgamations in these competitions also which further complicates this. If a clubs adult team is playing one week they will not want to risk injury with U20s playing the week before. The removal of the Weekend programme for the hurling championship weekends was a huge backward step, even if it lost a few quid theres plenty of income from gate receipts to compensate . Having zero matchs streamed puts Limerick as one of the worst in the country PR wise. Clubs should be making a bigger deal of it at county board meetings. Two good weekends coming up . I was looking for matches to stream but couldnt find any. Or any reference to whether or not they were going to stream. Seems like a missed opportunity. And how hard would it have been to post a notice on their website that "due to bla blah we will not be streaming"? Although coverage last year was pretty poor. Single camera, restricted views, albeit with decent commentary. Be great if they picked one game every weekend and gave it decent coverage (probably needs to be in Gaelic Grounds so you dont get pillars in the way) Meanwhile, seems like Kiely (and so presumably Kinnerk) are sticking around. The days of every parish having a team are coming to a close . Fine for Nap , Mungret & Monaleen with 3 or 4 teams but many clubs out the county need to amalgamate at adult level to be anyway competitive into the future . West Limerick should have about 6 to 8 hurling clubs not 16-18 . Similarly East & South Limerick should have about 4-6 football clubs each rather than multiple walkovers every year in football championships .

Yes, looking like that. I guess their has been very little new houses built in rural villages in the last 20 years which has led to rural depopulation. The Government do not want people living in Rural Ireland so the old GAA parish rule is not working now and will work even less into the future as many towns and villages depopulate which is already happening in a lot of parishs in West Limerick & North Kerry.
