Apparently Rory will play and thank heaven for that. With a forward line consisting of Casey, Chin, Rory, jacko, Mac and Mogie will add speed , power, experience and scoring ability to the mix. Hearne and Kevin Foley filling the midfield roles it's probably the best we have. The half back line will have to have ariel ability.Thats something we've lacked for some time. O'Hanlon, Damien Reck and Simon would be best suited, but I have my doubts. The full back line worries me somewhat. Conor Foley got a right roasting against Cork. Will his confidence be effected going into Sunday's game? Dublin will be a hard nut to crack as has been the case historically but I really believe we have the tools in our locker to win this game. Vital that Mac ( if he plays) wins primary possession against o'donnell. That will undoubtedly be a key battle. A close eye will have to be kept on Crummy and Burke if victory is to be achieved. Pity the game is not on Rte or Gaago. Would love to go to the park but unable to do so because of a family illness. I suppose we can't expect to be prioritised as Limerick v Clare will be the big attraction and to a Lesser extent Waterford v Cork. I guess I'll just have to listen to Spatt and company. There's no real news in that other than Rory coming back. Very much looking forward to it now. Weather is meant to be great. With only two home games this year it should be a great crowd. Probably just the usual worries out of me coming into the championship. In the absence of information there's just loads of rumours flying around. Was just wondering who he meant by "a couple of new injuries". Last year Chin put out his AC joint in a training game only a couple of weeks before the Galway game. Damien Reck missed that game also. A fit Liam Ryan is a loss for Wexford, but he has been a shell of the 2019 star since. I wonder did Davy just push the bodies to the point where they all broke down afterwards. How many survivors from that 2019 Leinster win now? A slight tangent but why didn't both teams push to have the game on Saturday evening when it not on TV? I thought I'd see yere match at weekend on something,very surprised it's not..one hurling free to air,one on Gaa go and football galore..the Gaa are really not thinking at all..the news channel is used for matches at times,why not for wex/dub,give people the choice and they'll watch what they want. Happened to a few players under his stewardship in Clare, bodies completely broke down for good, could barely play club hurling after it. His training is insanity stuff, it may get you silverware as his teams are extremely fit but there is a burn out stage. Just got stand tickets for Sunday. Any word on how ticket sales are going? Hoping for a big Wexford crowd to back the lads. We seen the difference our support made against KK last year. It will be completely gazumped by the 2 games in Munster which was another reason for putting it on Saturday. It might also have helped the GAA GO situation for those of us abroad. What is the issue like? The cameras will be at the match, is it so hard to plug in a cable? Even if there was no commentary or whatever, seeing it would be good for us. What is worse is that so much of that hard training and lack of a social life is so unnecessary. A huge component of fitness is rest, conditioning, relaxation and getting away from the game. There is no benefit to training to the point of refusal, even if the Clare hurlers did it in the 90's S&C data has refuted that type of training. Feeling quiet nervous now lads, a massive game for us and a big one for Dublin too. The Cork game rattled me. Granted we were missing Lee and some others but when the pressure came on, our rising stars looked to need more time to develop and do the gym work needed to compete today. Its something like 15 years since we have beaten Dublin so you could say its overdue but will this poor run continue? I would like to see us come our in tigerish form from the off, really putting down markers all over the pitch, making Wexford Park the fortress it should be picking up from the Kilkenny game last June.
