Anyone know when the season tickets are out? The_Fridge (Tyrone) - Posts: 2092 - 04/12/2023 13:17:15 2515460 Link 0 |
Got an email about reregistering, which I did, but still not available. Awaiting further instructions. I'd say they are trying to figure out how much each provincial council will be charging for Championship fixtures. I have found in the last couple of years that there is very little reward for your loyalty, especially since the move of supplier from tickets.ie to ticketmaster. Hopefully they keep prices at same level , it's at a tipping point wheather there worth it or not anymore. If you go to every home and away league game Yes but if not less of a case. OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 717 - 05/12/2023 11:18:35 2515583 Link 0 |
The county passes are surely a better buy? You get all league games free, as well as guaranteed championship ticket up to AI final if your county gets to one. Plus, the DCB one at least, gets you into every club championship game, Which pays for itself. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3118 - 05/12/2023 15:25:59 2515621 Link 0 |
I got an email today re; Parnell Pass scheme. Apparently a limited number of season tickets were available. However, logging on through Ticketmaster (the GAA's new best friend?) it says no events available. Either they are all sold out already or they are not available as yet???

How Much Our they? does price be decided by own counties? Yourjoking (USA) - Posts: 725 - 05/12/2023 19:58:16 2515652 Link 0 |
It is terrible link. Not good on the oul tech anyway, and this one manages to baffle me. Surprised there are passes available. They are gold dust. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3118 - 05/12/2023 21:02:52 2515663 Link 0 |
Meself and the brother got the season tickets when they first came out in 2012. But they're now 150 quid and we're not able to commit to going to the away games like we used to. Plus with the new changed qualification criteria for an AI ticket should the Dubs make it, and the compressed season, it really doesn't seem worth it. The GAA seemingly have messed this up through greed, which is hardly surprising. Gavvygavgav (Dublin) - Posts: 383 - 06/12/2023 01:05:46 2515685 Link 0 |

I thought Tyrone had a county pass scheme. Similar to Mayo and a few other counties with big support.

Season Tickets renewal out today but there is a significant change in that you get no free championship tickets anymore. OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 717 - 11/12/2023 14:12:02 2516360 Link 0 |
I see that last seasons increased price (was €125 pre COVID) for the football ticket has now remained at €150, but they have taken the 1st round of the championship off the package. This is usually a €25 euro seat. It is extremely bad value now. NORTHMEN (Donegal) - Posts: 15 - 11/12/2023 14:20:37 2516362 Link 1 |
Just opened the email. It's not worth it anymore. How much is it into a league match these days? 18-20 euro. The free ticket for first round of championship was great. With that taken out, it's pointless.

The season ticket used to be slightly better value if you knew you'd be going to most matches. Now it's a rip off. Wexford for example have 5 league matches scheduled at 20 euro each that's 100 euro. No championship match included, yet the season ticket is 140 euro. goreyll (Wexford) - Posts: 124 - 11/12/2023 15:32:19 2516371 Link 1 |
If you are from a division 3 or 4 county it costs 12 euro per game. For the full league that's 84 euro. A season ticket which only gets you tickets to those games costs 150 euro. The point of a season ticket is that it's better value for a diehard supporter yet it would be nearly half the price to go game by game. For a division 1/2 team it would cost 140 euro to go game by game and would only save you money if your county made the league final. Very very stupid pricing structure. Also with the implementation of a round Robin surely the scope is there for a full year season ticket as teams are now guaranteed 4 champions games LeitrimRoyal99 (Meath) - Posts: 1521 - 11/12/2023 15:39:37 2516372 Link 1 |

No body should be one bit surprised by the actions of croke park with season ticket pricing..I've mentioned before they don't care anymore about the die hard supporters..remember if you buy ticket for league games there was something like a €3 discount compared to buying on the day..I also think interest from spectators will gradually get smaller for league games due to number of championship matches counties now have..with the season ticket not going to well and the Gaa go ***** also,it looks like mr mc Carthy is going to leave a lasting legacy!!!!!
