Would the Cavanman let us know when he might give a version of the "foreigner's" anthem in the Square in Cross. I'd like to be there. It would give us an idea as to how it might be received in six counties.

You have got to remember whether we like it or not these people ( Unionist Population) who adore the Queen sorry now the King of England are of a different view point in relation to Southern Ireland affairs.
These people View Ireland sports as being different, and that is why I say Irelands call is a wholly netural anthem which may generate a sense of comrade if played at Sporting fixtures All sports like Hockey, Rugby, Gaa, Boles could all adopt this song. Sure it would be lovely if played in Cross and the Brethern down the road could join in . It would give them a sense of inclusiveness

Let some of the Nothern Ireland 400 Gaa clubs make a stand and insisit that Irelands Call be played at its Grounds for 2024.
I feel the Ulster yes ( Ulster says No ) brigade have to be enticed into the Gaa and indeed made feel welcome
So someone has to make a move on it and its best to be coming from an Ulster yes six County Club.
So stand up and be Counted

Is Tom Smith a bot? He could be AI, but presumably not in the agricultural sense lol.
Lots of non-nationalists already play GAA. Lots opf lads form a nominally nationalist background are often largely apolitical They play for love of the sport and pride of place. Politics simply doesn't come into it. Further, the vast majority of Gaelic players play at club level, and the vast majority of games are league games, at which no anthem of any sort features.
The biggest barrier to Unionists playing Gaelic sports is not some irrelevant sideshow like an anthem, it's the fear that word would get out in their own community that they were socialising with non-Unionists. Gaelic fans, esp in rural areas, where good players are often at a premium, would jump at the chance of getting more lads from e.g. rugby backgrounds. The real impediment is community polarisation, which still is extreme.
Tom, not being form the North, doesn't understand this, and feels that tinkering with symbols and anthems will make any difference, but it won't.
