For real? Kilkenny won their province and contested the all Ireland final. Their last round Robin game was one of the best of the year. Not on telly though. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3223 - 30/09/2023 11:29:33 2506358 Link 0 |
In fairness league football suits Roscommon. They did decent in D1 and qualified for knockout stages from the round robin by finishing third (only team to come near Dublin by taking a draw against them) but faltered in the first knockout match of the year. All Stars are normally givento players who participate in the businness end of season. Okay this years 13 counties received nomination, that is why Roscommon got a nomination. Cant see him making final 15 Jack L (None) - Posts: 3141 - 30/09/2023 12:02:05 2506362 Link 0 |
That could be done. Didn't they de facto change the name to the Limerick AS one year, when Limerick won 12 awards (should have even been 13)? In all the great teams KK has produced and there has been many, KK never ever got near claiming 12 AS in one year. What's their highest count ever, 9 is it? I don't think that they've done the 10! foreveryoung (USA) - Posts: 2107 - 30/09/2023 13:41:31 2506370 Link 0 |
Derry's superior talent didn't ever look like beating Galway at the 2022 all-ireland semi, apart from a decent first 15mins or so. Then they folded tent, and Galway cruised to a handy win in the remaining 60mins or so. I like Derry, and wish them well, but more all-star nominees than the entire Connacht province makes no sense, in a season where Galway & Mayo contested the major NFL final.

You do realise that the All-Star nominations announced last Friday are for the 2023 season?
