Easy solution to this. In the PL if a player is injured in the warm up after the team is named then he's replaced in the squad altogether If a player is named to start but then doesn't play the simple solution is he can't tog out at all. Also for the likes of the Munster and Leinster hurling cship where teams are playing one match after another then just use the same rule and they name their team one hour before throw in. People won't like it but it works in other sports tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 12/05/2023 22:30:28 2477970 Link 0 |
The teams have to name a 26 on Tuesday, before the final training sessions and before the final games. So they have no more than a 75/80% of what starting 15 will be. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 1919 - 13/05/2023 09:38:23 2477998 Link 0 |
It is totally disrespectful to supporters not to name the team early in the week or at least on Thursday. The people who are contributing to raffles, supporter clubs, paying to get in and buying programs. Yes paying big money to watch on GAAGO. Waterford one of the worst. I know supporter who travelled for years and have lost interest. Not knowing who is on the panel and maybe a prospect on the way. Not knowing who the team is until the last minute. If someone has a bereavement, an injury or a good reason for a change from the program common senses would be understood. If the same county is doing all the time fine them. Leave it to the manager ? Many of these mercenaries have too much power already often in a a county where they have zero affiliation. Canuck (Waterford) - Posts: 2629 - 13/05/2023 14:35:43 2478058 Link 0 |
