I normally find the facilities in croke park of a very good standard and while I did nt notice anything too bad last Sunday I did think the toilets in the Cusack stand were nt as good as usual.

To be honest croke park needs a major revamp. It's becoming quite outdated in terms of facilities compared to European standards. On top of that the sight lines are dire especially in the lower tiers with the lower Davin a complete disaster especially for hurling. The hill and the nally are an eyesore at this stage and just need to be knocked. The principality in Cardiff is about the same vintage as croke park but has aged so much better. The different levels within the tiers are great for viewing.

Personally I'd knock the hill and nally and rebuild a proper covered single tiered raised stand along the lines of spurs. Then tip up all the seating to the sides of the lower tiers of the hogan and cusack and raise the level up higher than the middle. Means fewer seats but superior sight lines. Then the lower davin should become a raised terrace with the lowest steps being about 10 feet above the pitch level. Again this would reduce the capacity but you should still get c 72-75,000 capacity.

In what way is Hill 16 an eyesore? It's also the newest part of the stadium so I doubt it'll be getting demolished anytime soon. Having the option of buying terrace tickets is also a necessity in my mind.

Agree Croke Park is becoming outdated the stands are open over 20 years now and will need work done soon. I disagree with getting rid of hill 16 though

Nothing can be done with the hill due to the train line behind it. Have a look at other staidiums in the country before ya whinge about croke park. You will be looking for leather seat recliners next
