All reasonable selections except Dunshaughlin winning group A
There is absolutely o evidence to suggest that they will top group
Really struggled in league and shipped a few hammerings
And we're in relegation last year

Relegation last year? They won inter last year. The thing about Dunshaughlin is the potential is high because of the young talent, the question is is it too early?

Yeah if you were strictly looking at how Dunshaughlin finished 2nd last and were relegated in the league this year, they should not be in the first two. The reason I picked Dunshaughlin to win that Group is mainly to do with how they match up against the other teams in their group, Dunshaughlin beat Ashbourne in the league even though they were missing 6 players with Senior/U20 Meath commitments while Ashbourne had no one on the Meath panels.
Na Fianna did beat Dunshaughlin in the league but Dunshaughlin were missing all their players with the Meath Senior/U20's that evening.
So it was really based on if those teams met Dunshaughlin again, how would they fare against a much stronger Dunshaughlin?
Obviously one worry for Dunshaughlin would be at the back, where they conceded heavily in the league and all bar one of those players that have returned from Meath are not backs.
If you were to believe Paddy Power's odds for the championship, the other game in the Group will be like a walk in the park for Na Fianna (14/1) against Curraha (100/1) to take the Keegan Cup but I think Curraha could spring a surprise even though they were nearly relegated in a division below.
Maybe naivety on my part but championship is a different animal.

YEa I'd half agree with you, however they did beat Ashbourne in the league, lost to Na Fianna and all 3 were in the Division above Curraha. Plus they played most of the league missing half a team between Senior County, 20's and injuries. I think they won't be a million miles off topping the group but would probably half to lean with Ashbourne myself with Dunshaughlin finishing 2nd with 2 wins

Group A:
Don/Ashbourne vs Dunshaughlin:
Cant see anything but a Don/Ash win

Na fianna vs curraha:
Curraha will battle like hell Na Fianna an average side but if they've got the Kildare player Hurley he will be a good addition and may see them just about win

Group B:
Dunboyne vs seneschalstown:
Seneschalstown are always just about hanging on but Dunboyne seem to have slipped a bit. Sench may win

Simonstown vs trim:
Neither much more than Senior B teams but Simonstown may sneak it

Group C:
Ratoath vs moynalvey:
Moynalvey will try but cant see anything other than an easy win for Ratoath

St Colmcilles vs skyrne:
Cilles never really preform in the Championship but should win here

Group D:
Wolfe tones vs kells:
Two Clubs whose best days are behind them wont be much in it but Tones maybe by a few

Summerhill vs ballinabrackey:
Bracky will give it all but Summerhill are probably the only real threat to Ratoath and will win

Na Fianna aren't average by Meath senior club standards. Decent enough side. Don't know circumstances of Sean Hurley transfer but he was a big star in the making a few years ago (stint in AFL too I think). Maybe he just needed a change of scenery and can play without huge pressure on his shoulders in Meath.

I can't understand why so many people are writing off both Gael Colmcille and the Tones. Both teams were in the quarter final last year Tones senior champions 2 years ago and us in the final 3 years ago. While we have lost some players this year we are introducing a lot of very good young lads. Tones won the gaeltachta competition and have two County men with several very good young lads on the team. While one of them will probably be in relegation worries after the game. Summerhill will not fancy facing either of them.

I am thinking of cashing out!!
2 hours before throw in and I just saw the Dunshaughlin team up on the Meath GAA page, if it is anything even near that, it is Don/Ash to win. Of course they are more than likely playing mind games and I would bet loads of changes to that 15 and those positions by the throw in.

Narrow win for Simonstown over Trim but jaysis it was a hard watch... I don't think either team deserved to win but fair play to Simonstown for digging it out. Someone said coming out that the last eleven frees were all given to Simonstown.

That is really poor
Did trim play that defensive?
And if they did they did some job at it

Big win for summerhill, losing by a point at ht after kicking alot of wides against a tricky breeze, the bracks will be very disappointed with there 2nd half performance only scoring 2 points one in the first minute, summerhill much more clinical in the 2nd half with better forwards on show, the bracks depending on Danny Quinn alot at 11 with Damien Carroll doing ok there 14 was drifting around the field with no effect on the game
