Help the recovery!!" 100% Plus we don't want young footballers looking up to these players thinking that being streetwise like that in games is a good thing. You have a point, if you need treatment whether you're injured or not you should have to come to sideline when your up on feet and not come on again until there is a break in play. One of the best wing backs to ever the play the game and a member of Limerick's current outstanding half-back line was guilty of faking an injury a few years ago to get an opponent sent off. A top player in Kerry's great football team of the 00s did the same. Our own Galway football captain tried to do it last week. There are countless others all over the country, both high and low profile. The needling at specific counties over this needs to stop. It's endemic in the game and I'd doubt there's a county left not guilty of it at some stage. The issue itself needs to be dealt with with a harsh punishment. Keep your hair on. It's a problem right the way through. I even had to have a chat with one of our u11s last year about it after a game and explain to him its just not a cool thing to do tbh. Diving is cheating and there should be no place for cheating in our games, another way to stamp it out would be to use video evidence and hand out suspensions for players that have been clearly seen to be diving, if we don't stamp this out it will filter down to all levels of our games and it will turn people off the sport.
