I would say the one with 36 All Irelands would be a traditional hurling county.

In relation to the GAA year ahead, no doubt we will have hopefully exciting & thrilling games in both codes. St.Mologga (Cork) - Posts: 121 - 28/01/2023 15:12:41 2454748 Link 1 |

Failure to win them in 3 different Centuries is still a decisive factor.

Thanks Moon. Don't take that too seriously. I admire all the great teams and KK have had some of the finest of them.

I think Armagh will win Ulster, probably a Derry Armagh final. Armagh will want it more and considering the new format you would wonder if the Ulster final will have the same feel about it. PattyONeill (Derry) - Posts: 263 - 28/01/2023 21:42:47 2454837 Link 0 |
I think it will. Its so competitive it gets the fan's bought in. I was thinking a Derry vs Armagh final looks the most likely but long way to go and to be honest Bar Fermanagh and Antrim everyone probably has a chance.

Mayo / Donegal could have a big say - Kerry will retain Sam

I guess to be fair the forum name should have specified "football". But I can excuse the original poster on the basis that football is marginally more widespread , with a slightly higher participation than hurling at a national level. By the same logic , "THE County final" in Tipperary , Kilkenny and Cork is the hurling final , with the football final absolutely requiring the "Football" prefix. Similarly most people ( not all, but most) would recognise "THE ALL IRELAND" as being football with the hurling requiring requiring the prefix in this instance. In America , American football does not require the prefix. Soccer and Gaelic Football needs qualification. In England, soccer is football. This is just the way it is .. I'm not saying that any of these sports are better than the others but like a lot of things , its a numbers game. anotheralias (Galway) - Posts: 981 - 31/01/2023 12:15:33 2455490 Link 1 |
