I see that Allianz Football League Division 1 and 2 prices are now €18 with 3 and 4 at €10. Similar for hurling. €18 is just too much. It will put people off going. I see that ticketmaster are involved in processing the transactions and I would say that they are getting a cut from the prices. Can the GAA not look into a tiered pricing structure where a person can buy tickets to their countys football and hurling in one go and get some discounts? Something like - 1 game €18, 2 games - €18 and €15 3 games €18, €15 and €12 4 games €18, €15, €12 and €12 Also an OAP or student ticket purchased along with a full priced ticket should be no more than €10 With ticketmaster on board that should be easy to administer. 'With ticketmaster on board that should be easy to administer'. You're 100% to think that but cynically I think a few GAA suits gave Ticketmaster the contract to work on commission so they wouldn't have the hassle of dealing with organising tickets. Even now they should give supporters some info online on how to save their tickets to Ticketmaster app or Google pay in advance of travelling to games. They are more expensive this year, last year juvenile tickets were free at start of league but I think that gave them problems with crowd numbers. Another reason to get a county pass, Not sure about elsewhere but Dublin one has stayed at €160, which is good value if you go to a lot of games and gives you guarantee of ticket for every game. Nearly doubling the price is a bit stiff. Surely they'll be getting the sort of mad money others are for housing people on our premises? Saved to Google Pay with ease also. But there's a few supporters, mostly elderly, not so tech savvy that that's a bit of a daunting task. A better explain online would be a help to them and they'd sell more tickets. Thats if demand goes down. what sports have all teams in all divisions keeping prices the same? There's lots of help available, night courses for people to improve computer skills but people won't take them. I hear the same auld excuses all the time... can't do this... can't do that. If every innovator had your attitude there would be no developments. A season ticket allows a reduced cost for those going to multiple games and buying in advance. It's generally regarded to be a success overall. This is a smaller more limited version of that - it is now possible because of technology where it wasn't before. Absolutely fair play to them. But I think they can still improve the service. And an option for stand ticket for €2 extra, no extra stand charge for OAPs and disabled people and their carer. All home games have fixed costs, if you keep reducing costs of tickets the more people purchase you run risk of affecting the management of your county and profits.
