Would want to be deaf not hear them. Loads of the residents living there have zero interest in GAA. Tralee for example is no comparison, those footballing mad residents would allow floodlit generators in their own lawns.

Modern floodlighting can be set up in a way that the light does not affect any neighbors. They can show you to within a metre where the light will fall. Mayonman (Galway) - Posts: 1920 - 21/11/2022 10:12:12 2448277 Link 0 |
I can see why in Salthill that might be an issue, I remember going to Dublin Galway a few years back and it was a nightmare

I think if the co. Board were to redevelop any ground it should be Loughrea. Replace with a large stand where current stand sits, terrace the ends and far side, purchase the field across the road for parking, right off the bypass and motorway. Ideal location. I'm ballinasloe based but the duggan is too far east

Loughrea isn't a county ground, it belongs to Loughrea GAA

Does Jackson88 realise that Galway city is half way between Ballinasloe and Clifden?A city can absorb a crowd before and after a game but in a town everybody tries to arrive at same time , as is the case with leaving ....outcome chaos. A new ground would need to have a development embargo in force for a large area around it prevent a new Pearse Stadium situation arising again How can this be done? backtooldwall (Galway) - Posts: 141 - 24/11/2022 10:09:27 2448579 Link 1 |
