Am I right in saying he was once the Meath U21 manager? Or at least had some sort of role with them?

Replying To baire:  "It all depends on how much confidence that All Ireland win will give them. Limerick barely got over the line in 2018 but we all know what they have achieved since."
But having said all that Baire, does not an awful lot depend on how victory is handled, especially after a long spell in the wilderness. In '73 they won it after 33 years. The team of the day were more expierienced than the '18 boys and you would have thought that they really would commit to retaining the title. However, at least according to Eamon Cregan, lads would not curtail the celebrations and settle down to training seriously again and one player actually said 'I thought we were not supposed to win it a second time'. With an attitude like that where would you be going. The present lads just seem to have a different approach.

Yes, he managed their u21s, I think that was about 2008, I think we beat them in the first round in Navan

Westmeath absolutely hammered a Meath under 21 team managed by Colm O Rourke out the gate. I really hope Colm listens to all advice given by his backroom team.

I asked the Meath poster that writes essays how did O'Rourke do with the U21s as i couldn't recall his time with then. Instead of answering he talked up his achievements at school and club level management.
