Well, its not the Dublin champions problem if the Glen can't win Cork! The ask of retaining it is going to come down to miles on the road. It must be hard for the NF players to be still on the road, especially the county men who would have gotten no break. Is there any word on EOD for next year. Is he sticking with the footballers? Cork have an arrogance about them but especially in hurling. They look down on the likes of Dublin. They did nt even respect Limerick until they started dominating them. Last years semi sickened me and more so by the attitude of the Cork supporters at the game sneeringly looking down at Dublin. The Cork fella beside me after the game that the Dublin management should show that match back to all Dublin people so they could see what real hurling was like and he was nt even being smart but typical Cork snobbery. Na Fianna have as good a chance as any of winning again.

Some of them are hard to take but I suspect that applies to any large group. There were some embarrassing clowns following our footballers when they were good. I suspect a few people don't have pleasant memories of sitting near one of them! Betting just up but it is lopsided as Ballygunner are only favourites because the Kilkenny and Galway finals not been played. They are 7/2 or thereabouts. Na Fianna @8/1 I think is good bet at this stage. It could well end up with all provincial champions with exception of Ulster being the same teams. In which case I'd strongly fancy NF. Kilkenny and Kilcormac on opposite side of draw. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3794 - 22/10/2025 09:02:18 2641042 Link 1 |

You're 'stories' always remind me of the Enda Kenny tale about meeting a man with two pints. Complete fairytales...

Not to nit pick Barney because you're one of the good posters, but Sars were beaten in the county final last year, and only went on to represent Cork because they were beaten by a divisional side (Imokelly). Also, as Glen man living in Dublin, beside NF, and having watched many of their games, I'd imagine NF would win if they did indeed meet. The Glen only came back up to senior premier this year after being relegated the year before..

fairytales are false.Cork arrogance is fact.Tbf you re nit as bad as many Langers but you should accept that many of your fellow langers are arrogant. Was in a fairytale about the langer that got a tatoo of Cork All Ireland champions 2025? No that was fact and arrogant. There was one fairytale alright and that was the "row in the dressing room". Typical Cork making up excuses and saying oh twas fact until the players had to come out and deny the story.I suppose Im making that up too.Look in the mirror.I have been at rugby matches and gaa and with Cork its all about themselves

If St Martins win the Wexford final I think they will come closer to NF than either KK or Ballyhale/OLG. If Rathnure win Wexford it will be interesting to see how long they celebrate!

Martins came close to Na Fianna last year. I said it at time that Parnell was advantage given that it was wet windy day and Martins missed quite a bit when on top for a good 10 minutes. In Wexford this time so that be close enough, and with different wind issue! BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3794 - 23/10/2025 11:59:46 2641230 Link 0 |

I thought all the big decisions went against Lucan tonight, they can feel very aggrieved WEXILE (Wexford) - Posts: 443 - 25/10/2025 22:48:53 2641584 Link 1 |

Great final. Have to say that Lucan left it behind them but credit to Na Fianna who found a way - again! - to grab victory from the jaws of certain defeat. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 3794 - 26/10/2025 10:47:14 2641618 Link 2 |

Hopefully Barney but dont forget it was a Limerick man Brian Ryan for NF who was most influential for them and scored 5pts from Midfield... I hope Lucan can keep that management team in place for next year. There is definitely a Dublin SHC in them... They can feel aggrieved at some of the calls in the final. Penalty especially.! But they need to use that as motivation for next season..... Fionn (Dublin) - Posts: 4708 - 03/11/2025 11:32:27 2642785 Link 0 |

Brian Ryan could be eligible to play for Dublin?
