Super win for the Dublin Hurlers today.

And chose to play the game away from our Home ground of Parnell Park.
The gamble paid off.

Well done lads. Brilliant result.

Congratulations but are you serious about playing away from home ?

Great result but I'd still fear for us against Galway and KK.

Big gap between those 2 and Dublin/Antrim/Wexford.

Would have to agree. Well done on win today. Gives Dublin a great opportunity to have a right crack at the big 2. You never know! Galway game in particular might be a great opportunity for ye as they'll in all likelihood be already qualified for the Leinster final.

Dublin's home ground is Parnell Park, they rarely play in Croker unless there's a double header with the footballers on offer.

Good day and hard luck to Wexford. Was in balance to the end.

That's the year for me in terms of expectations. Anything else is a bonus.

I'll leave it to the experts to decide on quality, but took me half an hour and a pint to recover equilibrium. Proper hurling.

Opposite equally applies. Wexford could beat Cats in Wexford Park to do as last year.

To be honest, I'm happy enough as is. Anything else is bonus. Once they give the Cats and Galway a bit of a rattle I think job done for the year.

Great night for us true believers. Up the Dubs :-)

Any time you are playing in your own county your not playing away from home. Or am I missing something ? Is Croke Park in Louth or Kildare ?

What is that even supposed to mean?

This was our home game and chose to play in CP- against the instincts of vast majority of Dublin hurling people. Worked well enough.

We'll play you anywhere. Be about 8th on list of teams I'd fear.

Well done on a great result.

A solid defence and a couple of nice forwards.

Brennan in the goal won it for you in the end.

Best of luck against the big 2

Well done Dublin. Ye won me a few quid yesterday. I could see this result from a mile off. Wexford are at a very low ebb at the moment and I sensed ye would take them. I was surprised the game was moved to Croker at your choice but it worked out anyway.

Great win for you Barney! Burkes last free was out of this world. Didn't even look like he was trying!

The Dublin hurlers usually play in Parnell Park and other counties have far more experience in Croker than us, so I'd say calling it a home ground is pointless.

Thanks. He is something else.

Hard luck, it really could have gone either way. Like other years, the placings will most likely go down to the last minutes of the last games. Would not surprise me to see Wexford beating the Cats in a do or die for your fellas.

Dublin need to be fully intent on trying to get results in the next two games, rather than possibly half thinking they were already in a quarter final last year. Donoghue seems to have done a good job regarding attitude if nothing else.

Everything from now on though is really bonus territory.

MOD is a proven winner. He could bring you far.

Delighted with that.
It was a very poor game but a win is a win. I had no faith in us to perform in Croke Park but delighted to proven wrong. Humble pie for me.
The 2 biggest tests lie ahead and I worry we are a bit off Galway and Kilkenny but 3rd is ours to lose now.
I wasn't as outraged about the referee as many around me and as I say all the time the game is riddled with diving and feigning hits, referees are cottoning on to this.
I met a few old hurlers for a few after the game and all I can say is shame on the Dublin County Board for fixing so many football matches at the same time as the hurlers were playing. Even if 10 more people went it shows a level of respect for the players and squad and supporters. I would bet money there was no match in Cork or Tipp within 5 hours of yesterday match.
I think everybody in Leinster is a bit off the Munster counties truth be told, but I only say 15 minutes of the Cork Tipp match.
But a win is a win. Well done MD and his team.

Good point regarding the county football league. Sure, they had a round of junior hurling championship the night the under 21s beat Offaly in Leinster final in Parnell in 2007.

Unlike knock-out games I would understand if the fixture was only made last week but these fixtures were known for months.
