RTE commentary so effin patronising, Oh I was asleep at this stage yesterday. Saints on field especially keeper who lay down when down to 14.

Are Ger Canning and Kevin Mostly wearing Dublin tops? Hilariously partisan and fawning over Dublin. They are not hiding their derision towards Ulster either.

Sean O'Se has absolutely every right to go for that rebound and the commentary saying otherwise is absolute nonsense

Dangerous play by Sean O'Shea - he was lucky not to get a red card. It was never a penalty in the first place.

Honesty, integrity, Dublin spot the odd one out.

O'Shea should have been sent off but doesn't even get a booking.

How many steps did he take for the goal?

Why was that even a penalty?

Gaelic football is a strange, strange sport in that it is wildly popular but the "rules" are wide open to everyone's interpretation.

He's entitled to pull on ball. That's all he did. Dubs keeper acting the maggot.

Canning absolutely refusing to accept what his eyes are telling him: Dublin are very average and Kerry are lucky Ó Sé isn't on a yellow at least.

And all that talk about this being the actual All Ireland before the ball was even thrown in...

The replay showed O'Se got to the ball and struck it, it was saved by Comerford who showed great bravery to dive at his feet in that situation especially considering the "serious injury" he had just recovered from.

It's an All-Ireland semi final, everything is on the line, if O'Sé doesn't go hell for leather for that rebound there's something wrong. Maybe a yellow for the follow through if you really feel it was OTT. But I barely think it's a foul

Replying To togoutlads:  "Just before match starts - again, what's the story with the allocation of Hill tickets? Yet again, the GAA quite deliberately hand a big psychological advantage in heavily biased allocation to the Dubs at that end of the ground - creating a wall of noise and intimidation that is actually worth scores to them. Hill better be 50:50 allocation for the final - whoever is in it with Galway!!"
Tickets for semi finals aren't allocated except for Season ticket holders.

Is he not allowed to kick the ball?

If our forward didn't go to strike a loose ball there would be questions asked.

I think it was comerford pretending to be injured to run the clock didn't sit right with the officials. O'Shea entitled to follow up after missed penalty as ball was loose.
O'Shea & Clifford a joy to watch

For all the sneering at Galway and Derry only managing 4 points apiece in the first half, I note that Dublin only managed 6 ...

If Galway can play a full game - and not just a second half - they'd take either of those 2 teams. Galway's defence is better than either Dublin's or Kerry's defence.

Of course, whether Galway manages to play a full game is the million-dollar question.

O'Rourke nonetheless saying the first quarter was the "best football we've seen in Croke Park in many, many years"(!) - complete over-statement. It's quite good attacking (mainly by Kerry), but naive defending by both sides, and poor attacking by Dublin, followed by a scoreless period after a brawl which would have seen 3 or 4 Tyrone or Armagh players red-carded lol.

The self-mythologising about Dublin and Kerry games continues. Lively and entertaining game, with plenty of poor shooting by Dublin and poor defending by both sides; but far from the best 20 minutes of football I've ever seen.

4 steps plus a bounce. Great goal.

Dangerous or ruthless?

The brawl after the penalty was very disappointing and distressing. Kerry getting a penalty, and getting an opposition player blackcarded with simulation, which is doubly disappointing. Mcshhtay thought Seanie Shea going for the rebound was a red card, and he's supposed to be an expert.
