They say a lot of the women in America wouldn't vote for a woman and I suppose there's still a lot of men who wouldn't vote for a woman as President, not easy getting a woman elected if that is the case, Tirchonaill1 (Donegal) - Posts: 3028 - 07/11/2024 13:08:58 2578779 Link 0 |
Isn't that what happened here when we voted Nina Carbery into Europe….???

A lot can change in 4 years. And that's unfair on Whitmer. That was a protest vote in a State that's not guaranteed red or blue. Also you can't pin blame on the Obamas. They can't swing a vote that much if they are not the actual candidate. TheFlaker (Mayo) - Posts: 8155 - 07/11/2024 13:17:22 2578783 Link 0 |
I think FF won't go into coalition with SF as long as Martin is leader, that might change if Jim O Callaghan got the leadership of FF. SF see themselves as a left wing party in the 26 counties (not the case in the 6 counties) but the other left wing parties turn their nose up at them. In realty SF need to be clear what they stand for as no- one knows what they stand for any more and remember what their primary objective is . tireoghainabu (Tyrone) - Posts: 338 - 07/11/2024 13:19:19 2578784 Link 1 |

. That's simply not true. It was over 43k in 2023. link"]Median wage is 37800 for 24-29 year olds. The Median house price statistic you gave also includes many properties that are too small for young families. And the final point you haven't addressed is most young familes don't have 2 people in full-time employment. Bottom line is family homes are out of reach for most young families in this country. Lads ye do realise these people also had jobs. You can debate how effective they are as politicians but you can't just call them celebrities as if they are online influencers who do nothing day to day.

They are celebrities though and almost certainly would not be chosen or get elected off their own backs if they weren't

Grainne seoighe has had jobs also, what !! knock me over with a feather. She would still be classed as a celebrity to most reasonable minded people jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1285 - 07/11/2024 15:34:30 2578815 Link 1 |
It boosts the profile for sure but the Rose of Tralee has been elected to roles more than once now so I am assuming she does actual work for the people who choose her more than once??

They way it's calculated doesn't really tell the story though. It's the total amount earned for PAYE divided by the number of workers. No consideration for zero hour contracts or executives on 6/7 figures. They're all in the same sum. Doylerwex (Wexford) - Posts: 3142 - 07/11/2024 16:30:20 2578828 Link 0 |
Find one post here where I've been complementary to Trump? I think I've called him a flute a teapot etc. Saying he was going to win was not an endorsement just not blinded by dislike You've made yourself look foolish here with your predictions ( have you done similar re Michael Murphy?) Take your humble pie good lad jm25 (Galway) - Posts: 1285 - 07/11/2024 16:59:00 2578833 Link 2 |
It's hardly a massive stretch to predict a Harris win lad. You are a huge expert based on saying Trump will win. I assume you posted this pre election?
