It's interesting that Kingspan still sponsor so many sport's teams considering the bad press they have received since the tragedy of Grenfell in London.

Replying To BarneyGrant:  "If you think all this multi million € grift is anything to do with racism you should send them your bank details instead of just being happy to see them take your tax and laugh at you for being so easily gulled.

Anytime people mention the reality of what's going on here, the only response is "Trump", "right wing," "you're drinking", "what about the Christian Brothers." Yawn."
It sounds like you're on the wrong forum. Spare us the 'leftie', 'right-wing' nonsense. It's done to death elsewhere.

I can just see you Barney - 62 years old, think women should be in the kitchen, says racist things but doesn't think they are racist as "i know plenty of black/Muslim fellas", tin foil hat on. Gets his info from Tucker Carlson/Ben Shapiro. Gets his COVID info from Facebook/Twitter and is an expert.

Thank god the world is moving on.

Cue the triggered, gammon outrage.........."snowflake", "woke"

Replying To BarneyGrant:  "Didn't Leitrim have some leftie group sponsoring one of the teams last year? That was odd given Leitrim's history of its people being forced out."
Yes that one would be considered wonderful

I just read that offaly have changed their sponsor after 30 years with Carrolls meats, I wonder is their many teams putting sponsors on their sleeves, isn't that a new thing for this year.

Replying To BarneyGrant:  "That one. I do believe the Constitution of the association does not permit the use of games to promote political objectives.

Anyway, I would have thought that the migrants of the 16th and 17th centuries would have been enough for you lads after they all the good stuff :-)"
Any decent person, regardless of their political persuasion, should be opposed to racism. This is not a political position - it is simply a matter of standing up for what is right. You dismiss anti-racist groups as "lefties". Does that mean that all right-wingers are racists? I don't think so, but it is the logical conclusion of your position.

There you go. Proving my exact point!

As for your county man referring to "right wing" colonialism, perhaps he ought to read Christopher Hill or even E.P Thompson where he will find that Cromwell was pretty much as left wing as was possible in the 1600s and he stole our land and gave it to his New Model Army which was the 17th century equivalent of the Red Army.

Jasus lads this is just an auld sports forum. Don't get so deep in the weeds. Anyway the right and left flagging is as stupid and mis represented as 90% of what is on social media. Everyone is either or depending on what effects them on any given day.
