Replying To sleater: "The League game against Mayo was the worst performance of the league. The 2 pointers from Fergal Boland before half time really killed any hope for Monaghan and they capitulated in the second half. Monaghan have improved in every game in the championship so far and further improvement is required again this weekend.
The injury situation for Monaghan is a bit unclear - unlikley to see Kelly (Achilles) and Carolan (hamstring). Bannigan previously said Michael Hamill would be back for All Ireland series so he must be close. Ward and McGorman, unsure what the story is here , especially Ward as he was on crutches after the Armagh game.
McElerney is suspended, so will that mean Ryan Wylie gets game time?"
No word on mc gorman, dessie is grand apparently, few back spasms. At worst a few painkillers.
Hope McGorman makes a swift return. He's had a great impact in an hours football when you consider the last 20 minutes against Derry and the first 40 against Armagh. I'm not going to dwell on what might have been if he was fit to run for that pass that eventually led to the first Armagh goal.
Is Cameron Dowd carrying a knock? Pity to see him miss out on an Ulster Final appearance but maybe just due to using more attack-minded subs on the day.
