Replying To Mightyyellows69:  "Anyone else agree with this, from what I've seen over the weekends championship match's and during the league referees are letting a lot slide etc.. shouting at keepers when taking kick outs and so on at the start of year it was a lot stricter I'd like to hear your thoughts.."
Can agree with this surely. Don't know what the refs be looking at and not only the referees surely the linesmen and umpires should have some sort of a say too they can't all not see what's going on.

Corduff will be in the county final."

Replying To countymonaghan:  "He is comin from a Donegal team who competed in the All Ireland final, he wouldn't have to be that special to stand out in an average Corduff team. But he didn't look any different than the rest of their team.

Not quite sure what theres to be jealous of? Some young lads who are Corduff born and raised, who will be there a lot longer than said signing, missing out on game time due to a Donegal man coming in? Not sure whats to be jealous of.

Truagh will topple them next week again I think and leave them bottom with Cremartin."
McGee after playing in an all Ireland final 2 weeks and then being asked to go and play bog-ball with a team that you've zero affiliation to, it's a big ask to be even bothered… hard to make an average team look anything but average unless ur a mansy type player…

Replying To Farneyman21:  "Looking at different games over the weekend. The level of refereeing in Monaghan is just terrible.

Referees from clubs in the same divisions should not be officiating games within that division come championship time.

Was at both junior games yesterday some soft cards given in the Rockcorry game not sure what the ref saw, then headed to smith borough where there was the most blatant red cards I've seen given as yellows.

Referees from clubs not in the division should be in charge of these games so there are no influencing factors in their calls. We need our referees but we also need good fair referees."
Agreed here 100% ourselves got a harsh black card over the weekend against the united parishes turning point in the game

Also heard rock/oram game was some dodgy decisions

And seen some questionable ones in smithboro also

It's not an easy job however and they can't get every decison right aswell

There's 7 officials on these championship games I am sure it's not that hard of a job. It's a disgrace and back to what someone had previously said any referee from a club in the same division shouldn't be allowed to referee these games it's complete madness.

Is there any truth to Ryan McHugh transferring to Corduff? I had thought it was nonsense talk myself until I saw photos of him not togged for Kilcars championship opener yesterday

Fully agree scarna man wasn't trying to disagree

Same thing happened ourselves at weekend same division with club etc harsh call.
Referees see what they see and when decision is made that's it, not like soccer these days.

Fully agree there should be more time taken on controversial calls but it's hard to overrule the main man in the middle of the park at the end of the day.

Would be a good addition if true, in my opinion we need to be looking at attacking reinforcements though.
Maybe give his club mate McBrearty a call.

Looking back on this weekend's championship openers a few shocks one for me was the junior game which took place in Sean's between currin and Sean's ,Sean's looked very poor with there one man army,Adam o Driscoll kicking what? 15 to 16 points out of 19 points which is ridiculous scoring, the rest of the team would want to carry along if there serious about winning a championship. But for currin a good start to there campaign

Paddy was at 14 for Kilcar so that rules out a move in this window…maybe next year!
