Himself and Paul O Connor need to move on and let Malone take the reigns if there's any hope of any progression

Predictions and a Punt are a little different. And it was a winner. Check back my pre season predictions and then get back to me.

No idea but on paper Connacht have the strongest team and Munster the weakest from my reading of the panels.

It'll surely be roll on roll off subs with 2 games in 2 days?

Looking forward to it to be honest.

I fear for this competition before it starts, zero marketing, only a few die hards knows that its on, will be played in a empty Cork Park with the optics looking terrible, its on prime time TV where the premiership will be on the other stations, with pack out stadiums. They should have least try to play it in different part of the country, where you might get a bit better of a crowd.

I agree it should be somewhere other than Dublin. Clones, Thurles, Ennis, Galway, Tullamore, Mullingar even?

There has been a bit of media talk from what I've seen. Newstalk, RTE and the Indo have done bits on it.

€15 for 4 games isn't bad value, for that alone you may well see a good Cavan crowd.

as an organization we don't promote our games enough, apart from the lads doing podcast, BBC GAA social, colm parkinson smaller fish & Off the Ball Gaa podcasts the games don't don't get a great deal of air time from Monday to Friday. Its crying out for a midweek gaa TV show , rounding up the club championships.

There are switching off Hawkeye. They are using an umpire from Cavan instead. It works on angles and percentages. Can predict where the ball would end up if the posts were 100 foot high. It's called Gawkeye.

It's only a once off thing to try out the proposed new rules.
Ye'll notice no hurling version.

Last Final drew 600 to Carrick on Shannon.

Ah that was more for curiosity than anything. A distraction from the usual moaning about the United Parishes.
