Replying To HB245: "It'll be a mammoth task for the village of Inniskeen taking on the Scotstown/Tydavnet/Knocktallon/Ballinode divisional outfit. The divisional side's hopes are boosted by the transfer of Jack McCurrin. Can only see this turning out one way." Ah, don't worry too much about Inniskeen, it's always tough for the smaller teams to go up against the blue and white of Scotstown. We're used to bigger battles at this stage, and Jack McCurrin or not, this one's already written in the stars.

Drumhowan were the better team and shud of won by more, Toome starting an injured James Wilson who wasn't long after a knee operation and shoulder injury was madness, they seemed to have a stronger team on the bench than they had starting, alot gone into this Toome management team this year but if anything they look shadow off team they were a few years ago

And go again in the league final. Still a great opportunity to salvage the season. Junior is going to be a nightmare in 2025. With potentially Emyvale and Blackhill coming down.

Two very different Senior Semi finals over the weekend. One with one way traffic and the other leaving the spectators not knowing where it was going to go. Great for me as a neutral.
Inniskeen v Corduff- Inniskeen never really looked under pressure. They shot on site and made use of the wind in the first half. Corduff lacked any real treat in my opinion. D Meegan was immense as well as Durnin in the middle. The pressure on Corduffs kicks outs really benefited the Inniskeen midfield, leaving Corduff struggling to get possession. Jones was quiet as was woods but the rest done enough to keep the team out of touching distance for Corduff. Inniskeen will need a lot better performance to match Scotstown, especially with only a week turn around. Madness bringing this game to Carrick, lack of parking is a nightmare, tight pitch. Why not Aughnamullen, Ballybay, Blayney.
Ballybay v Latton- What a game this was. Everything was on display as expected with such a local derby. Blood, sweat an tears. Every player seemed to have left it all out there yesterday. Players were dropping like flies in extra time but that was a result of the effort they put in. Latton had the game as good as wrapped up and tried to hold onto possession, but Ballybay persisted and pressurized them. They won it back and got chances. Probably enough chances to win it in normal time. A lot of mistakes throughout but it was a great watch as a Neutral. Slippy conditions but that was the same for both. Ward and Finlay really settled the Ballybay ship. Ward won a few balls he had no right to win and scores came off it. Two McGuinness' still have it. O'Neill came on and kicked two serious left footed points which in the end were the winning scores. Again, a lot of sore bodies and only a week to their semi final with Clontibret. Clontibret been rested this 5 weeks? Why was the quarter finals not brought forward a week and give the teams a 2 week break for semi? Would of been a more fair approach I think.
My god what a facility Clontibret is. Every time I am there there is something else that catches my attention and I believe there is permission passed for a new Gym. Pitch in top shape (as always), new fence right around the pitch, loads of parking, plenty of stewards to help parking, shops, tea, toilets everything you need. Plenty of green area for kids to run off and enjoy themselves. Credit to all committees, stewards, tea men/ladies everything is in great order and credit is due. Everyone pulling in the one direction for a club that has not got a massive pick compared to some other senior clubs this is great to see. Perfect place for any game.
Big weekend in Clones next weekend. Whats everyone predicting? I fancy Clontibret and Scotstown to make it through mainly down to rest and recovery of Inniskeen and especially Ballybay. Ballybay seem to be suffering with a lot of injury at the minute which made yesterday a more special win for them IMO.
Junior looks to be Drumhowans to loose now I feel. The semi finals were poor in my opinion.

Replying To currinman: "What is going on in Enyvale??
They're practically relegated on this scoreline." Emyvale gone now barring a 16+ pts win against Blackhill, assuming H2H pts difference used if all 3 teams finish on 2 points?
I think that would leave the three relegation scenarios below:
1. Clones win = Blackhill and Emyvale relegated (regardless of outcome of that game) 2. Clones lose and Blackhill win = Emyvale relegated and playoff between Clones and Blackhill 3. Clones lose and Emyvale win = Blackhill and Emyvale relegated (barring 16+ pts Emyvale win)

That's why it's a shame that a Currin man is taking the place of a young lad from Scotstown that played with the club from the age of 6 up. Oh well. Nobody else stands a chance I'm afraid. If you combined Clontibret, Ballybay and Inniskeen, they MIGHT have as many registered senior players this year as the Scotstown/Tydavnet/Ballinode/Knocktallon divisional outfit do.

Fully agree on clontibret, it's an incredible facilty where I always loved playing and watching in…1 of the best in the country…there a club that always had that bit of class about them on and off the pitch…

Replying To ScarnaMan1990: "emyvale will be some outfit in junior next year." There won't be a team down there that will come within 6/8 points of them and blackhill next year. Emyvale will fancy a run in Ulster and once the disappointment of relegation passes after the 4th pint I'm sure that's what they'll be talking about………maybe even Croke Park?

Emyvale have been flirting with Senior for the last few years but seeing their collapse this year makes you wonder about the attitude of the club. A couple of losses and things not going their way in Junior and they will likely collapse on the big day again.
On a side note and I'm not suggesting Emyvale will do this but any club happy enough to get relegated on the basis of winning a championship or doing a run in ulster/all-Ireland the following year is a club in dire state.

They should be absolutely embarrassed if they find themselves competing in an Ulster junior competition again.
