I think the Derry County Board were kite flying by putting out rumours of Rory Gallagher returning to the Derry job. They now know which way the wind is blowing. Should John McEntee be considered? Knows the Monaghan club scene. Won the All Ireland as a player. Impressive club manager record in management having won a county title with Clontibret against peak Scotstown. Took Inniskeen to the club's first county final in over 30 years. Woke nonsense is a bit of stretch...Call me a romantic all you want but I disagree here with a fair bit of passion...Monaghan is a Gaelic footballing county...moreso than any county in the country IMO when you consider soccer & rugby etc. Certainly more than Armagh and Dublin who both would have huge soccer and rugby areas...Other counties have hurling and so on but Monaghan is a proud footballing county that regularly produces high quality players that'll compete with anyone else on their day and we've picked up a few all stars as well as younger lads showing well in sigerson teams through the years We are not a "limited" footballing county by any stretch and it infuriates me when people say that we are and that we need to play 15 men behind the ball and shut up shop is pure nonsense.
