Replying To Left Full:  "Emmet McDonnell from Kinnegad would have a good CV but is not currently coaching adult level, Enda Monaghan from Shamrocks, Stephen Cleary from The Downs, Louis Ennis from Balinagore, Peter Tormey from Bun, Joe Fallon from Athlone. I'm not saying these guys warrant county jobs but most have had success with youth & adult teams. Theres plenty more lads inside the county with good CVs."
Yes it would be nice to see them being put into our county systems, Joe fallon there last year but not this year, not much you can do in 1 year. Peter Tormey seems to be getting great jobs now in Clare management team with Peter Keane. Has Louis Ennis done anything since Miltonwpass he was a man that was sought after before that job. Mcdonnell was with who last year ? Lar wall also gone to st. Judes so he will not be the Downs manager. John Keane maybe for the Downs ?

It seems that the CBS 2nd year footballers had a good win today in the north Leinster final after extra time, I wasn't at the game myself was anyone there?

Beat Colaste Colm from Tullamore, went to extra time, surprisingly so as Mullingar school heavy favourites after last year. Very strong side, they have loads of subs who are very fine players

Replying To Bluelake:  "Yeah, word is a couple of rogue players and committee members. Still can't get over it, think it's incredibly harsh."
Clubs that are capable of competing for championships with internal managers is a dream for any club. Ned Moore shamrocks, paddy dowdall lomans, gary dolan garrycastle, kinnegad made senior final with jack, joey jordan making great progress with athlone, joey williams lough lene gaels 2 finals in a row, budda mangan castletown Geoghan. Dags maher ballynacarrigy won a championship, shandonagh kevin hickey raharney home grown managers, kilbeggan niall o brien, Johhny murray the downs 2 finals this year lost 1 on penalties. Unfortunately it seems loyalty and respect in the downs seems to not exist at present from players and committie. Many clubs would love to have a local man take their club to county finals. Then you look at other side of it clubs paying money with little return. Caulry springs to mind this year yet pat Flanagan gets another year. Some things just doesn't make sense. No write up or mention of any thanks either to the man in the downs. They need to have a good luck at themselves. Tom dillon milltown unbelievable achievements been done with the ladies over the years, kilmurray lomans ladies this year. The time, effort and achievements that people have put into their club's with nothing wanted in return surely deserves respect. Unfortunately that respect sometimes comes from people external to the clubs and from people who are able to see and acknowledge their effort and achievements

Any update on senior panel? Any new additions?

Heard there is currently no Westmeath man involved in the backroom team? Is this true?

Hopefully the new rules will get Heslin to give one last year.

Jimmy Dolan, Kev Maguire, David Lynch and Andy McCormack all confirmed to be gone from last years panel and I'd expect a few more by the time the 1st round of the league comes around.

I expect McCabe is struggling to get some local selectors on board. You'd expect Westmeath are a bit behind other counties already.

I understand Wallace & O'Toole are away also for 2025; not confirmed though. It will be a massive challenge to stay in division 2.

Could do with them for Friday night games, and December finals. I'd say all the internal lights are being replaced with LED lights.

Not sure if floodlights. I read a report which mentioned LED lighting but I'd imagine that relates to upgrading existing internal lighting.

Looking at social media I see Killucan after announcing Conn Cleary staying on as manager for next year and Tang announcing Stephen Coy as new manager.
