Replying To Cockney_Cat:  ""Ballyhale to win, they just don't loose all Ireland finals."

Yes, they've won 8 out of the 9 finals they've played in. Their only loss was the in their first final appearance in 1979. That said I wouldn't pay too much heed to historical statistics. Every final is there to be won on the day. For what it's worth the bookies have Ballyhale as slight favourites to win the final."
I also think that tradition plays a far bigger roll than people give it credit for. Its not going to win you an All Ireland but it definitly has a psychological effect.

Its such a hard game to call, Ballygunner seem to showing the better form but very hard to back against Ballyhale in Croke Park, I'll go with Ballygunner by 2 points.

in the football think Kilcoo will bet Kilmacud by 3 or 4 points.

I think Ballygunner will sneak it. On the rare occasion that a team gets to a final without being at their best they very rarely can turn it on in a final and with the greatest respect to Balyhale I don't think they have beenmotoring near as wel as other years. They havent come up against anyone near the calibre of Ballygunner so I'd tentatively give Ballygunner the nod. Dessie has been unmarkable and I dont see Ballyhale having a man to mark him either. Ballygunner you'd imagine have the backs to do a decent job on the ballyhale forwards too. Should be a cracker.

Have been unucky with a few bets during the cship so far but have gotten close. My bets for this weekend at low odds are TJ anytime goalscorer at 9/5. Over a toal of 43.5 points 5/6, Ballygunner to win at 6/5, Brian Cody under 1.5 points 6/5.

I follow your bets and you know your stuff... Interested in the reasoning behind the Brian Cody bet. He drew a blank the last day but did get 1-1 in the Leinster final, 0-3 against Rynagh's and 0-4 against Clough Ballacolla.

One of the hardest games to call in a long time.ballygunner have been more impressive and I've thought since they got over loughmore that they would win all ireland..however I don't think they have come across a forward line like ballyhale, all 6 could probably play for cats in c/ship in 2022..they have been there before and know what it takes to win..ballygunner have probably best club hurler in last 12 months in Hutchinson,he looks almost unmarkable..2 fantastic free takers on both sides..I'm even hesitating in giving ballygunner the nod..weather conditions will have a huge bearing to..any idea who is ref for this one??

He's a good player but not always their most prolific in terms of scoring. The teams you listed are no where near the standard of Ballygunner and he has played some of the games this year in midfield too. Ballygunner have a number of intercounty standard players from 1-9 so he might not get many chnaces. I think hes a vital and under rated cog in that team tho. Can't see much value in any of the bets this weekend tho so I'll have a few small bets on these.

I think also both teams have such a great blend of youth and experience, really evenly matched. Two teams also that will revel in the wide open spaces of Croke Park. The last few days I've just been getting this hunch that Ballygunner will just shade it.

Hopefully we are not talking about him and can accept his judgments.

Well, as everyone seems to be going for Ballygunner, I'll stick my neck out and go for Ballyhale.
Seriously though, I think this one is too close to call. It's amazing that BS are unbeaten in knockout club hurling since October 2017, since then winning four successive Kilkenny titles, the last three Leinster titles, and the last two All-Ireland titles. Given that the club is also celebrating 50 years of existence in 2022, another All-Ireland title would be the cherry on the cake.
This is Ballygunner's first final and a win for them, would also be a first win for a team from Waterford, which would be good for hurling generally.
I'm looking forward to a great game and while I'll be shouting for Ballyhale, I won't be too disappointed if Ballygunner lift the Tommy Moore Cup.

I've backed Ballyhale to win (evens), and TJ to score a goal at any stage and BS to win at 3/1.
