They're usually out by now alright, maybe they weren't expecting proposal B to be shot down at Congress so they didn't have a plan B setup for that.

Bad planning IMO.

Heard no word of the league or the Championship draw yet, I hope there's none of the north south divide like last years league.
Can just see us drawing Tyrone in the first round of Ulster in Ballybofey!!

Hopefully it'll be back to normal this next year, Covid is here for the long term so we need to just get on with it.

The draw for the Munster or Leinster championship hasn't been done yet but the winners are known.

I don't know if munster is a foregone conclusion as much as leinster is Benny, both Kerry and Cork have new managers and management teams, I know Jack O'Connor has a fair bit of experience but he always struggled against Cork teams, if we do meet each other in 22 it'll be in PUC as well.

Anyway let's see how the league goes for both teams first, we all know Cork are like mushrooms and ye can pop up over night with a new team.

At last we agree!

I wouldn't be so confident however. Had the misfortune to have to listen in on Dáil debates last night and a few of them mentioned "contact sports" and attendances as being on their radar again for the next inevitable shutdown. Despite of course there being no evidence that either are a significant if any factor in the whole thing.

Looking at the graphs it seems fairly evident covid is predominantly transmitted indoors. In 2020 even with no vaccines cases fell to really low levels in the summer. Hopefully the politicians see some sense but I'm not holding my breath.

If there was an issue they wouldn't have given the green light to full stadiums only 3 weeks ago, the big issue at the moment is primary schools in terms of widespread transmission, apparently good signs in the UK in terms of boosters reducing cases and hospitalisations so here's hoping.

Anyone who has ever been to league games before knows there is no danger of full stadia.

Ah they seem to be making it up as they go along Barney, did you hear that lad from nephet saying they never said the schools were safe when they actually said it many times.

Look if worst came to worst people could probably ware their masks, although they'll be no full house sports events in gaa till next summer when hopefully this will be somewhat under control.

Problem with the booster is it's still the same vaccine that was developed for the original strain. The virus has changed to Alpha and now Delta since then. The fact that most people I know over 70 here and in the UK are effectively cocooning now probably has more to do with the drop in deaths relative to cases. Hopefully it does improve things but I wouldn't be counting on it.

Hopefully cases will dwindle like they did last summer in 2020 and this.

It's getting to be a joke at this stage, all county supporters know the dates times and opponents for our championship matches which starts in the summer, but we are still in the dark regarding league fixtures which starts in a few weeks, why is it a big secret ?

Have been told the hold up on officially publishing fixtures is because HQ are working out on TV deals. Eir channel is now gone and a few stations are trying to cover Saturday night games

They're taking the **** allright, we even know who we are playing in the McGrath Cup but nothing tied down for the league.
