What do you mean? Did the County board re draw the whole U20 competition? That would be the mother off all mess ups!!

Are the County panels picked for under 20 in both hurling & Football yet for 2022

Cannot fathom how Ballinabrackey/Clonard are in top division.

Bracks beaten in Division 3 minor semi final 3 years, Don't think Clonard fielded in Division 7.

Meanwhile Dunboyne in B division and their second team in D.

Anyone have an idea of the logic here ?

Do The Bracks have a lot of players that played senior championship this year ? They seem to have a lot of Meath panel players over the last few years so should be strong .

Dunboyne have very little coming through in their 2 teams/ 50 players. Hard to get lads in a huge town.
Bracks Clonard have a lad that once got Trevor Giles autograph therefore they are definitely worth the weight in Gold in Div 1.

Dunboyne at this minor age didn't make the division 3 semi final. And the year below they were in division 2 also. Not sure why Ballinabrackey Clonard are in division 1 but they'd probably be a decent team with a good amount of county minor players the bast few years. You are correct though I'd say they'll be up against it in division 1.

We would have four lads who started and 2 who came on, one year at senior level is minimal experience to be fair.

Clonard will only have 2/3 that could start leaving the Bracks to find 12/13.

We were in the relegation semi final of senior and beaten in Division 5 premier final.

Hopefully we can compete against simonstown on Friday but a big ask I think.

Be interesting to see how it pans out, last thing you want is teams been battered in any Division.

Think it will be a tight and good game as Simons town only an average div 1 team , Young Nash at midfield and chincella main players and very few of them have played senior championship and most would have played on their second string best of luck anyways

I think it goes to show the level of respect given to player development at this very important transitioning age group that half the teams only get to play one game and if they lose they are gone. The County Board originally a few weeks ago announced there would be no U20 football or U21 hurling competitions and only reversed their decisions when they saw club's applying to run tournaments themselves for this age group. There was no need for the four week break in the Senior Championship which pushed this competition out to December.
It is a pity that if you lose one game you are out but hopefully we will still get some great games.

Is Josh Carolan still u20 for Simonstown? Imagine he would be their best player. I also would expect a close game between the two but Simonstown should have enough.

Yeah says it all about the county board that a lot of these lads will only have one game. Very hard for players and management to get buy in and commitment to a set up like that.

Think in most surrounding counties clubs are guaranteed a few games.
