Cityman I'd agree with na piarsaigh in senior..however I can see Bruff win premier and na piarsaigh beat croagh..I'd agree with choices in football except for intermediate.. CTGAA10 (Limerick) - Posts: 2499 - 25/10/2022 19:06:33 2445433 Link 0 |

Na Piarsaigh for senior and Intermediate hurling would be done achievement out of one club . OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 736 - 26/10/2022 18:10:23 2445551 Link 0 |
Who's going to win on Sunday, the 2 best most consistent teams on final and they have a recent history of great matches. NaP favourites but Klm will attack the final with no nerves, Klm better than last year when they won it. It would be great to see the younger players on both sides stepping up and being the stars. updwell (Limerick) - Posts: 898 - 26/10/2022 20:17:29 2445561 Link 1 |
Na Piarsaigh came up trumps and looked comfortable throughout, Adrian Breen MOM & Peter Casey in the forwards were hugely impressive. NAP could go well in Club Championship. OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 736 - 30/10/2022 20:08:02 2445998 Link 0 |
Think its between NAP, Ballyhale and Ballygunner for the club championship, St Thomas could be a threat if they come through Galway, semi final this year is Leinster v Munster so they'd fancy coming out over the Ulster champions. Can't see anyone touching Ballyhale in Leinster. Tipp champions can be dangerous but will be tough for Kilruane playing Ballygunner next Sunday after 2 big weekends in a row. Not expecting much from Ballyea, Cork champions have struggled in the last few years but the Barrs will be a bit of an unknown at provincial level with such a young side. If Ballygunner win next Sunday they play NAP in 3 weeks which would be mouthwatering.

Hard to disagree with any of that. Thomas's are the only Galway club who could maybe do something, but I wouldn't put my house on them winning the county title, although they're definitely favourites. The Ulster champions, if that's Slaughtneil will have no fear of whoever comes out of Galway. Some potentially cracking matches to look forward to on the other side of the draw. People writing off ballyea, they've been there before and have tony Kelly..Barrs have pressure off now and Cunningham as manager..it will be very hard for kilruane next week unless they can catch ballyg without match practice..I'd give na piarsaigh a great chance in limerick against the Waterford champions..would have the makings of a really great game..weather has taken a turn for the worst now and will play a huge part in November..thought na piarsaigh yesterday were very good and room for improvement..don't think they'd be very happy with the goals they conceded..Breen was excelent but I thought eter Casey was motm,he did everything right and looked to be back to his very best..seven points from play..honorable mention to Cathal king and mike Foley..killmallock will be hugely disappointed but thought Mul and Robbie Hanley were very good.. Ballygunner at handicap of -6 is a terrific bet in my opinion. Kilruane have more than their fair share of knocks and would be big underdogs regardless. Their six forwards failed to score from play in the first 30 mins on Sunday and without Craig Morgan they are really up against it with Dessie. Niall O'Meara will likely be a doubt also. I expected Ballyhale to be beaten in Leinster last year and they probably should have been on a few occasions. I dont see it happening this year. Currently I have them as favs, followed by Ballygunner, Ballyea and NAP in that order. Thomas' come into the mix if they can get out of Galway which wont be easy. Although they are arguably in the equivalent of a Connacht semi final while Ballygunner for example have a tough road ahead out of Munster. The Ulster cship is another that could be a cracker. Plenty of good games ahead but not sure next Sunday will be one of them. tiobraid (Tipperary) - Posts: 4119 - 01/11/2022 13:57:03 2446117 Link 0 |

So far one wrong,Fair play to ballingarry two county's in a row, very good football team, well done to na Piarsaigh,to win intermediate football on the Saturday and senior hurling on the Sunday, just shows how far they are ahead, probably one of the best clubs in the country, the only club that can beat them is the well, well done to na Piarsaigh and monaleen and hard luck to mungert. cityman73 (Limerick) - Posts: 783 - 01/11/2022 15:51:58 2446138 Link 0 |
On Ballyea its 6 years since they won Munster, Ballygunner are vastly improved from then and I think that's 1 of the years NAP didn't win Limerick. Last year they lost to Ballygunner by 19 albeit without Kelly, they might beat the barrs but couldn't see them turning over NAP or Ballygunner in a Munster final. Clare champions recent record isn't good either in Munster.

Be interesting to see Intermediate final next weekend , can Croagh continue their progress or is Na Piarsaigh set up that strong their second team will be playing premier intermediate next year ? OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 736 - 01/11/2022 21:18:44 2446172 Link 0 |
Fancy Croagh to make up for last year's lost but Na Piarsaigh are the top club in the county for a reason, looking forward to watch this game.

First two league games in 2023 look like Cork away and Clare at home ..... bruffgael (Limerick) - Posts: 209 - 03/11/2022 19:26:12 2446400 Link 0 |
You will have to wait till the 4th of December, match is not on until then. Anyone know the reason why?

I saw that date for the intermediate final and thought it might be a mistake..almost 2 months between semis and final..it's really crazy and doesn't make much since to ordinary supporters, can anyone explain?? CTGAA10 (Limerick) - Posts: 2499 - 04/11/2022 10:38:52 2446439 Link 0 |
The only reason I can think of is that Na Piarsaigh are playing a county junior B football game tomorrow

I think NAP will shade it. Dowling in goal is worth 5-6 points from the get-go. I've heard that he's like a mini-Nicky Quaid in how he controls the puck-out. And then he can come upfield and hit frees and penalties. In winter hurling conditions particularly, such things are invaluable.

Doubt Shane Dowling could be called a MINI Anyone LOL! On a serious note Na Piarsaigh have quite a few players with All Ireland Club medals.most have played with Limerick at some level . Between their Senior team playing BallyGunner & Intermediate Football team playing Munster would that be the delay in final date , seems tough on Croagh who are very well trained & hungry . Hard to call OpenStand (Limerick) - Posts: 736 - 09/11/2022 14:15:54 2446983 Link 0 |
