This would make a lot more sense. Latton and Clontibret are out of the championship since 17th October and still waiting to play their semi. Why could this not be already played at least the losers would get to hang their boots up for the small break they will get. County board don't seem to be too worried about the leagues, more worried about the big pay days. Also, how Ballybay can get a championship final (Seans v Toome) is beyond me. Lack of parking facilities is madness. Cars bag logged near into Ballybay and well back out the Blayney road. Its not suited for big crowds. Saw 2 different people on crutches making their way the whole way from the Cremartin road in to the grounds. More thought should of been put into this. Could the same not be said for the likes of Clones, and especially Blayney who have no car park, with regards to the majority of the crowd having to walk a long distance.

Ballybay has more car parking near its ground than Clones does. 230 v 200. If people were on crutches, they should do one of 2 things, get a car park pass from County Board or come in time to park near the field. If you aren't on time to any game at any ground that has a big crowd, you're going to have to walk. That's true for Scotstown, Blayney, Clontibret or Clones. Inniskeen has decent car parking facilities near but it isn't suited to many finals because of it's location. There were loads of stewards around for help in Ballybay,the pitch was in great nick for the time of year, it has great dressing rooms and toilet facilities. I never said there was anything wrong with their pitch, dressing rooms or toilets. You are right they are in great shape and ballybays facilities are great. And yes there was loads of stewards credit to them but they can't make parking spaces it's not their fault. They have many great volunteers involved including a lot of their senior players. As for the parking my mind wont be changed. Yes there is X amount of cars allowed to park in their car park. But then there is 1km or more out to the main roads where there was no cars parked at all. That was out to the blayney road and the road to the riverdale. Yes Inniskeen is perfect for parking but as you mentioned their location doesn't suit. Clones has their own car park, the chapel within 100 yards and all along the streets in both directions, Scotstown has along the roads right from the pitch, as well as up to the chapel next door and a big industrial estate across the road. Clontibret has a car park which holds probably 400 cars between it and both sides of the road at the pitches, they use the small training field when needed which would hold a few hundred and they then have along the road the whole way to the chapel. Rarely any further than that is needed. From Clontibret chapel to the pitch is closer than the main road in ballybay to the pitch and then you had another distance to walk to your car. Blayney like wise you can park along the roads the whole way from the pitch to wherever. Are you sure you know what 1 km is? It's less than 400 metres from the entrance to the car park to the main road.

The venue was a disaster. It's down an avenue to a dead end - Pitch was far to heavy and wet. It's was a mud bath. Compare it to the Inniskeen pitch later that evening or Clones the next day. No comparison - two cars got stuck in the hedge parking along the roadside and were pulled out by tractors. Toilets totally unsuitable walking up and down steps through a stand and up more steps into a crowded corridor- not very age friendly. maybe next year when the county chairman own club will be in Junior more respect might be shown to the competition.

I see dermot malone has hung up the county Jersey. What a servant. Typified the character of the monaghan team for the past 10 years. Full of bravery, heart and skill. A free for all in front of the dressing rooms.. it didn't make pretty viewing..4 players were sent off during the game, 2 from each side so there was a nasty edge to the game all day..unfortunately theres a cynical/dirty edge to toome's play especially in that place.... when Sean's stood up to these rough house tactics last week we seen how limited toome were.. however toome will now win the league as clones have a soft centre running through them which toome will exploit by whatever means possible..

I think you need to look at the footage of the scenes again, it can be clearly seen that a member of the toome management toome started it by swinging wildly..
