Feel really sorry for them. Correct sending off call if he sent the kilbrittan lad off for the same contact a bit later. Had a couple of chances to win it even with 13. Heroic effort and would have lifted many boats if the had got over the line. Hurling is such s great spectacle and I would say even better to watch at a level where the ball doesn't stick as well. Definitely going to invest more time following Sligo Hurling

Great performance from Easkey. Just pipped by a good Kilbrittain team. Between Tooreen in Mayo and Easkey in Sligo and of course Loughrea- club hurling in Connacht looking good for the future. galwayford (Galway) - Posts: 2717 - 11/01/2026 18:51:49 2650688 Link 0 |

Very hard luck on Easkey, a super performance and as anyone from across the country who saw this, there's obviously great work going into hurling in Easkey and hopefully across Sligo, with the likes of Naomh Eoin and Coolera-Strandhill and others. Keep up the great work lads. togoutlads (Galway) - Posts: 1113 - 15/01/2026 09:39:39 2651121 Link 0 |

Jimmy Langan Curry and Keith Carty in Eastern Harps to add to your list. Drumcliffe is the surprise one, I thought they'd be filled by now especially given how close they give championships in recent years. They have some within the club with some management experience elsewhere but perhaps are looking externally after such a long stint with O'Flaherty.

I didn't know that Jimmy was gone to Curry. They could win the intermediate next year if Adrian Marren remains. It's always difficult to win the intermediate and the standard for the last few years has been poor. Curry obviously believe they can bounce straight back because they have gone a long way for a manager. They still have Div 1 football. Aidan Rooney couldn't really manage a team that would come up against his 2 lads so he is taking the bunny job. They were unlucky last year not to make the semi final. They have some really good players but they might not have enough. eoinog (Sligo) - Posts: 2316 - 20/01/2026 20:48:14 2652206 Link 0 |
