Replying To CCFabu:  "should Jim have brought a new coach in to the set up for this year?"
I think he should. Plenty good coaches out there. Taking rory in in 2012 was a masterstoke.

Replying To Ulsterchamps_32:  "Much to my frustration donegal did sell out. What the sell out number is I don't know and maybe because of mccumhaill park being out of commission they reduced the season ticket numbers a bit. There will be plenty Kerry folks who will have a season ticket and forgo league matches.
There are tickets online for the match on Sunday. I wouldn't be waiting too long to buy them as there should big enough interest in going to the match."
Donegal have sold out their allocation of 3200 tickets. Shouldn't be a too big of a problem this weekend. The problem will be when we play Down in first round of Ulster. I think OD Park is listed at 9k now. Down have sold out their allocation. So it looks like 6.4 k is already gone. Take out players, county board and sponsors and there will be very few left for supporters

This Sunday should be interesting. There will definitely be a good bit of needle to it I'd say.
I heard Jack O'Connor already playing the poor mouth saying that Donegal will be well ahead of Kerry in terms of fitness.
It would be great to lay down a wee marker and get two more points on the board.

Replying To gunman:  "Yeah the 3rd of May could be a very important day when if all goes according to expectations we will be playing either Tyrone or Armagh for a place in the final.Home advantage in the first game of the All Ireland series would be nice in a revamped Pairc Sean Mac Cumhaill."
It wont be ready for that match

You suggesting that Jim bring Rory back? Would Rory even come back if he was asked?

I think Jims dispute with somw of the press is due to a couple of Journalists being post match experts, and trying to get Jim to tell them that they are right, that he made mistakes.

I'm sure Jim will have seen how he could've done things differently, but he surely isn't going to divulge that information to the press.

I completely agree with the posters regarding the game probably being lost in the first 10 minutes, just with Kerrys ferocity in those early exchanges. We just didn't get settled. But we certainly grew into the game, and if we had to have taken a few crucial chances, who knows.

My own belief is that when Thomo got injured that Jason would've been a better change than Daire O'B at the that time. Jason and Hughie made a good impact on the game. But as Jim says, look forward instead of backwards.

Replying To CCFabu:  "not to go over the final all over again but I really think not starting Hughie was the biggest error from Jim on the day. Langan was completely outnumbered in the middle of the field for that first half and the Kerry performances were all 10/10 there.

there are some pundits and commentary that can't wait to stick the boot in and go OTT with criticism because of some perceptions about Jim, I find it very odd. I've no bother criticising what I think Jim got wrong, I just don't think the focus on the zonal defence really gets to what went wrong for us on the day.

anyway let the outside noise be what it is I suppose, we won't be going man-to-man all over the pitch just because some podcasts are talking about us."
Very much agree with the Hugh thing, was a very strange choice and left most people bewildered at the decision. I do commend Hugh for coming back after that, would've been easy to say that's me done but he didn't. And he's getting his rewards for that now thankfully.

It's beyond me at Inter County level how teams are still giving up possession due to the 3 v 3 breach. Surely with the amount of personnel in backroom teams it should easy to make it one man's/woman's sole job to watch this.

Nah I'm not saying to take rory back. Wudnt want him now. What I'm saying if jim could find somebody like him that he should keep the door open. It worked in 2012

People talking a lot about the comments in the press conference about zonal defence. From what I can tell from the highlights against Dublin we played man to man marking for most of the match, is that true? If so I think that might be the first time Jim has had one of his Donegal teams go man to man? it looks all the questions about "will Jim change his tactics" are already being answered.
