Replying To naomh_conaill_4:  "Not getting ahead of myself here just a general question for all teams.
can teams that played each other be drawn against each other in the semi final? This was what I read but listening to the GAA hour they seem to think winners of Donegal and Louth will play the winners or Armagh and Roscommon."
Teams that played in a provincial final or in the group stages will be kept apart if possible. Donegal can't play Armagh if both teams get through

Great to be big back in a big championship game in HQ, Surprised to see the upper tier is closed and a huge amount of lower tier tickets available on ticketmaster. Was expecting a huge Donegal crowd, with big support for Louth and Derry too but not so sure now, maybe the 1.15 start is difficult for some. How many do you think we'll bring?

I would say you walked it a few times lad. No harm lad whatever floats your boat. Ha

rumour was Bonner had us doing heavy training in preparation for a game against Dublin that never came,
we have been kind of lost ever since until Jim came back in and resurrected the ship and got us back to being Ulster Champions and favs going into an All Ireland quarter final, amazing stuff.
That's some change from were we were this time last year, we had declansboy on here for years saying the players weren't good enough, it wasn't the mangers fault that we had no defenders blah blah blah.
McGuinness has shown again that we do have the talent in Donegal, all they needed was a top manager to bring out the best in them."
Don't get lost on your journey this weekend lad, it must be a good few years since you were in croker. No doubt I'll. spot you with your 2012 jersey. It should be in good condition very seldom worn..

They always fill up the lower tiers first before releasing the upper tier tickets. They get rid of all the 301, 302, 310 - 326, 335, 336 first. If you can wait till they release the upper tiers, then you will pick up your 705 - 708 and 730 - 734 seats.

I've had my eyes on it since the second they went on sale. They havn't put sections 330-333 of the Hogan or 304-307 in the Cusack on sale yet. All dodgy seats in the corners, Hill 16 etc. I'd say they're getting rid of the bad seats first, then the halfway line seats get released and then open up the upper decks when they fill pitch level seating.

Donegal can play Armagh if, us, Galway and Derry both win.

Then Armagh could draw us, as they played us all.

He won't address how he got it so wrong a) about Jim coming back and b) about how we didn't supposedly have the players. You'll just be told you're a fair weather than.

The middle sections of the lower Cusack have been on sale to season ticket holders since yesterday morning so it'll depend on how much take up there is from the four counties involved. The middle hogan sections might be released but I don't think any kids tickets are available there.

I would say the hogan stand sections not opened for general sale are for county boards, senior brass of the gaa, sponsors and hopefully freed up for family members of players. The best sections of cusack would be for season ticket holders and I'm hoping some of these free up later in the week for general sale. And as you mention upper tier will open if sales are good. Up the front of the upper tier is a good view to watch the match.

Traffic will be nuts with all the Tyrone, Cavan and Monaghan fans going to Taylor Swift.

If they hadn't of changed it donegal would have strong favorite for ulster in 2018 with the likes of langan, mcgee, mccole, mcmenamin, Curran, niall o'donnell, mogan, obaoill playing on the 15 and 16 minors.
Donegal were the dominant team in ulster during 14, 15 and 16 and that's backboning the team and it's now they they should be at their peak.
In the next few years tyrone should come on strong again. And judging by the way tyrone dismantled roscommon and kerry there's a case to me made that donegal in the top few teams this year.

Though I think when these last two years of derry minors start maturing derry could get very strong. There's a lot of talented players there.

Replying To rorysboys:  "Best draw we could get. Forget about this won't be easy crack. We'll win this pulling up. I'm very confident, Louth will try and contain us and Brennan will have them well organised but it's donegal by 7 plus for me.. can't see any surprises elsewhere the 4 teams who were idle this weekend will win although Roscommon will put it up to Armagh."
Less than 12 months ago rorysboys thought we didn't have the players and we're headed in the direction of the Tailteann cup.

Now he thinks we are going to walk into our first all Ireland semi final in 10 years. Louth got there on merit and won't be easy. No easy games at this stage of the championship.

What an unbelievable job this management team have done even getting us to an All Ireland QF.

How do you mean no easy games at this stage of the championship probably the most overused statement in gaa. You'll know by some of the results from now on if it's true. Listening to too many managers lad.

they've opened a couple of the upper tiers now so sales must be going ok

It would be interesting to list who thought we didn't have the players vs those of us (Including myself) who felt we didn't have the management/setup to take us to the next level.

Upper tier of the Cusack stand now opened would expect around 40 - 50 thousand to be at the double header on Sunday.

Louth will bring a big support and the derry fans are probably back believing again so will travel in decent numbers. We should bring a good support down 1st time playing a knockout game in croke park since 2014 fact it's on a Sunday should help also
