Replying To ryan:  "Was it in Eunan's changing room where you were standing beside him?"
Ha. In all fairness, I wouldn't have thought so, would you??

On the way here now to Ballybofey. Watched a great game yesterday in O Donnell park. Open, ball being kicked in. Oisin Gallen is really something else. 10pts scored and I thought Gary Mcfadden done well on him. He could only show him the line or corners but he still was able to score.

Gweedore will be very dangerous in the final. They've some running power

Half time. Delighted Rory Kavanagh never got the Donegal job. Turgid stuff, devoid of any gameplan that works to maximise the obvious talents in the squad.

Donegal really dodged a bullet not getting Kavanagh. It's a brutal style of play. Only 9 points scored with all that attacking talent is a poor return.

Big big bans coming Eunans way for the mess at the end. Conor O'Donnel junior and senior both throwing punches.

Piss poor shot selection from Eunans. Too many wides. Plenty of lads who were in scoring positions recycling the ball instead of taking a shot. It looked like a poor attempt at mimicking Rory Gallagher's attacking play whilst Donegal manager. Eunan's need new management or give an ultimatum to Kavanagh to change the gameplan. Not utilising Niall O Donnell's long range point prowess was criminal. Ciaran Thompson was let at it on the other end. Conor Morrison looking like a lad that could do a job at intercounty, with Eamonn Doherty dangerous when he came on, and probably should have started, if fit.
It'll be a great tussle between Naomh Conaill and Gaoth Dobhair. The Glenties men will be rightly favourites, but Gaoth Dobhair could win this one if they bring their A game, and have a clean bill of health. If they could convince one or two of the lads off on their travels to come back for the final, it could be a real humdinger.

Absolutely, how can a town with 20k population not produce a forward with a bit of flair, they are so over processed by "the system". Naomh Conaill have their number for sure. Please nobody buy a newspaper tomorrow, we'll get a day out of Eunans4ever with 300 replies and excuses.

Well just after returning from the game, and extremely proud of the team and management. Got there tactics and matchups perfect. U Doherty had Nial O'Donnell in his pocket the entire game. All other matchups perfect and let the Eunans players that can't shoot have the ball. It's hard to pick out players when the entire team stood up.
But I'd pick 4-5 players that really stood out. Ultan Doherty, Anthony Thompson, K Thompson and Eunan Doherty were exceptional. With the rest all doing there jobs.
As for Eunans, they can have no excuses about having a man sent off this year. In my opinion that game down in Glenties they showed there cards to early, and lacked the same bite they showed in Glenties. And failed to win that day also.
The 7th final in a row by this great club and players. And some of the players going since 2005, what can you say about them other than there a credit to our club.

As for the final, it's 50/50, Gweedore are there on merit and are always hard to beat. Naomh conail will take nothing for granted and there will be very little in the final come the final whistle.

Come on Naomh conail

There weren't too many of the 20k there to support them. Must be the poorly supported club in the county. Small rural clubs would bring more supporters to a game

Replying To eunans4ever:  "There is all sorts of made up stuff here.

Firstly the most decorated club player in history did not say that - you've completely bended the truth there.

Glenties/Fintown game v glenswilly was on at the same time as ours v st Michael's, so wwith the obvious chip on your blue shoulder you have - again you've made this up as you couldn't of been at the bridge if you were watching your own team.

The big bad st Eunans targeted glenties/Fintown off the ball - how dare we do that , we should of just stood back and let ye at it.

Love your other made up stat of we GOT opposition players sent off - it's cringy stuff!!

We loaded the line in the group game ?? Not a mention of C Ward been pulled into the glenties/Fintown dug out on his own while retrieving the ball and surrounded and physically abused by every official and sub in there. That's pretty cowardly stuff - no issue with man on man let them at it but these heroes who go double digits on 1 need no other comment…

Enjoy the game Sunday and best of luck to both teams but it's lads you you in the stands who have given glenties/Fintown a rotten reputation over the years which is really unjust on a great bunch of players.."
I didn't receive the official memo so can you tell me who are the Townies blaming this year?

Well done to glenties/Fintown - no excuses this end - I tip my hat to them - they are an absolutely fantastic bunch of players and mgr team.

The better team one on the day - it's nearly impossible to break that extremely defensive system they deploy but they deploy it better then anyone else.

Can someone help me with the wide count ? I lost count of ours sny can't remember any on the glenties/Fintown end ?????

Best of luck to the boys in blue in the final they fully deserve another championship but for the sake of the game for the future , hopefully Gweedore will find a way to break it down and outscore it - I don't think they will for the record tho…

I'd worry about possible suspensions for the blue brigade for all the strikes at the end but there was ones on both sides - so Enda let it go and don't spoil a final fir any player.

Finally - thank you Rory for winning a championship but move on now as you've had two years trying to find a way to beat glenties/Fintown and failed miserably.

Even with the sword stuck in you, you still can't respect us and call us by the correct name. We were by far the better team and totally deserve to be heading for another county final. As regards the mellee at the end, I've seen the video clip and it's not pleasent from some of the Eunans lads. Hopefully Enda's report will clarify this. Anyway one consolation is we won't have to put up with your drivel for another year. Enjoy the winter.

First of all you still can't call the current County Champions by our proper name, Naomh Conaill.
Magnificent performance by the Boys in Blue, maybe now last year's excuses have been put to bed once and for all....

Niall and Shane were superbly marshalled and we're very ineffective. Surprised that Rory never changed tactics, he didn't learn from last year's county final.

If you were at the match, but you had gone home at that stage, you would have seen that two Eunans players struck after the final whistle. I believe our full forward is in a bad way.

The final will be a different proposition, Gweedore have quietly but effective got to the county final. We will treat them with the respect they deserve and may the best team win on the day.

If Masters get last years minors and this years through to adult they'll have some side. They won 15s last year too so their minor side next year should also be good."
Would i be right in saying we are moving to U18 next year so they'll be going for 3 in a row?

They'll have to go back to the tried and trusted method of pinching players from other clubs if they want to get back to the pinnacle of donegal football

Naomh Conaill with another very controlled performance, the better team today from minute one. Why did Eunans not try to change things up? Even going into the last couple minutes, try a long ball in. It's like they had no plan B but they surely must have known what NC would bring to the table.

Massive game from Ultan Doherty. Completely marked Niall out of the game. Could be involved in county next year?

Poor form from Eunans after the game, I know there's a lot of dissapointment and hurt with getting knocked out but they should take their beating and move on. No place for that on a football pitch with young fans in attendance.
