Was very very surprised myself but heard it from several different people from a couple of different clubs.
Sloan gone to longford, was surprised to be honest i tought work restrictions stopped him from comitting to inter county management

I wasn't there to see it myself so not going to say what happened. But if what I was told is true he could miss a lot of game time. As others have said its not like him but unfortunately these things can happen

Predictions
The 5 teams of Mohill, SOH, Mary's, Aughawillian and Fenagh look to be safe. Leitrim Gaels' (-4) scoring difference gives them an edge over Annaduff (-10) for the 6th and last spot, but they both have very difficult games this weekend. Of the other 2 teams in the hunt, Gortletteragh probably has the best chance. They could throw a spanner in the works if they were to catch Aughawillian off guard. It's safe to say that a lot of teams will be keeping an eye on each others scores come Saturday evening.

Annaduff v Mohill
Annaduff needs to get something out of this game. But Mohill is on form and should be too strong.
Mohill by 10.

Aughawillian v Gortletteragh
Aughawillian is pretty much guaranteed a q/f spot. This could be close, but Aughawillian's experience could see them edge this.
Aughawillian by 2

St Mary's v Leitrim Gaels
Out of the 3 teams available, this was the worst possible draw for Leitrim Gaels. If they had drawn Annaduff or Dromahair, then Gortletteragh and Manorhamilton's championship was over. Mary's are still the team to beat, but they don't blow teams away.
St Mary's by 7

Manorhamilton v SOH
The return of Barry McNulty will help Manor, but you'd expect Ballinamore to have enough.
Ballinamore by 6

Dromahair v Fenagh
It has been a tough championship for Dromahair. Fenagh, under new management, will be out to prove a point.
Fenagh by 12.

I'd say Aughawillan will be resting players for the quarter final, they will gain nothing but pride by winning,a win for gort on the cards there,Soh will have the full of there **** up in manor

Any word is Keith Beirne back. Mohill different animal if he is. Ballinamore and Mohill top two, v Aughawillan or St Mary's potentially. Willies could make a final.

Will they be resting players though? If they do and Gort won and if Fenagh and Leitrim Gaels beat Dromahair and St Mary's then they would be the fourth quarter final seed. This would mean the
Willies would face St Mary's in the quarter final. Also they would be depending on Annaduff and Leitrim gaels to lose if they did put out a weaker side. That's not something I'd imagine they'd do.

Mohill have been seriously impressive so far. I don't think I've seen a better performance than that first half against Gortletteragh in all my time of watching Leitrim football. Speaking to some Mohill folk they think they have been playing better without him. That being said he'd be a great addition and with him back they are definitely the favorites.

Tomorrow's game will likely be a turkey shoot, Annaduff meant to have a few injuries and are just a few years off properly competing in senior, but would back them to stay up if they get players back.
Fenagh Dromahair is a done deal, other 3 games will be tight as lots to play for

I heard New York didn't go fully to plan. He's back in Mohill a while, but no one in Mohill seems to know if he'll play this year.

Should be wins for Mohill, Carrick, Ballinamore (although with Mc Nulty back for Manor that will be tight) Fenagh and Aughawillan who will have too much experience and their midfield axis of Dolan and Plunkett will be too much for a young and light Gortletteragh team.

Dunno why you are engaging with this fool Jimmy. Eslin will be kings of junior b before long.
Annaduff nearly tore up the script on Saturday apparently, hopefully they will avoid the drop and build on a credible championship so far but I am sure they are disappointed to not be in a quarter next weekend, plus Manor have McNulty back so will fight tooth and nail to avoid the drop.
Any surprises predicted for next weekend?
