Replying To Seanfan:  "Were 4 changes to that line-up and did we only use 3 subs?
A poor performance yet ran up 2-14 and took the lead near the end but 2 late 2 pointers for Sligo allied to Ros missing a last seconds long range free gave Sligo a 1 point victory.

That's the warm ups over. Real business begins next Sunday but the realistic business will be the following Sunday v Monaghan."
A week to try sort out a lot of problems. It's just so disjointed from defense to attack. No clear idea of what we are trying to do. Sligo looked well coached I have to say and best of luck to them for the year ahead they have some brilliant footballers. For ourselves Its going to be a tough league campaign. Of the couple of Brigid's lads aren't coming back its going to be tougher.

Replying To Ros2013:  "Supporters would want to calm down regarding the fbd. It's a few challenge matches. There will be a complete change of pace going into the league. Whether it's enough to stay up is debatable considering our size losing the Brigids lads. It's all about Connacht this year"
Thats where I think it's completely wrong. I think we should be aiming for the next 3 years to stay in division 1 and get our young lads coming up playing at that standard for a few years and then look at championship. What are we going to achieve by being relegated and maybe winning a connacht title every 5 years and that's it. Look at Monaghan they put everything into league for years and got knocked out in championship by longford and other teams them years but eventually they got to the next level and stood toe to toe with the big teams in championship after staying in division one for a sustained amount of time. If we get relegated this year what's going to change. It's been the same for years up and down and still no where near the top teams so I'd be all on for putting absolutely everything into the league for a few years and get to a level where then we are taken seriously and can challenge top teams

Yes to the changes before throw in and subs brought on. For some reason the mods didn't publish my earlier reply to you.

The very best of luck to St Brigids in All-Ireland final tomorrow.

You're completely but whether that's possible year to year it's another thing. For us we need absolutely everyone available to us to achieve this. However year to year we normally lose two to three regular and one of our top players down to travelling, work commitments etc. a county of our size just can't sustain this
When trying to maintain division 1 status.

Beat of luck to our County Champions, St Bridgets today.
We're all lending ye our support today.
That will end at midnight as the plotting and planning to relieve ye of the Fahy Cup will begin tomorrow.

Best of luck to St. Brigid's today. I think the experience of playing Glen in Croke Park two years ago and nearly winning will stand to them.
We have not seen them play to their full potential yet this year and hopefully today will be the day. Should be a great game but I think that Croke Park will suit their game plan.
If Dingle win I would not begrudge their All Ireland as a remote rural club. However Brigid's by 5 or 6 points for me.

Hard luck to Brigids. No team deserved to lose with heroic performances all over field from both teams.
Roscommon should have a good year if they can get 6 or 7 players from that Brigids team giving as much for their club as their county.

Hard luck on Brigids, thought they were denied a free in at the end there to go 2 up

They definitely were from what I saw. That probably would have sealed the game. A classic case of not giving it to the team who were a point up. A boot flying in on a lad picking up the ball is a blatant free, regardless of the stage of the match or score at the time.

Not a Brigids club man but my heart truly goes out to their players tonight. Outstanding effort to bring the game into extra time when so much was going against them including go down to 14 men in the 2nd half while Paul Geaney somehow avoiding a black.

Got themselves into a winning position in extra time and some debatable calls to not give frees to Brigids then ended up in Dingle scores which was telling.

Brigids will be most disappointed with their shooting efficiency so many scores left behind them they simply never reached their level of accuracy from their previous games and that will be the biggest regret tonight in All-Ireland final that was there to be won.

On the plus side it's still a young side that are sure to come again, players in their early 20s such as Ruaidhri Fallon,Conor Hand was a joy to watch.

Hard luck Brigid's tough one to take for ye but ye have an extremely young team that has now played in 2 all Ireland finals in 3 years and both 1 point defeats which will be hard to take but they are so young that you would have to think they will get over the line in the next few years. Kickouts today were good and bad and some shooting was fairly poor from Brigid's. Fallon was outstanding today and I hope Roscommon management use Conor hand right this year he's a brilliant player.

If Ben O'Carroll had played to even 70% of his ability today, ye would have won.

Saw a video online today of a pub in vicinity of Pearses GAA of the lads in the pub celebrating wildly when Dingle scored the winning point, most of these gentleman possibly friends with lads from Brigids, was a poor showing to see them not cheering on fellow county men, thoughts on this?
