Replying To gilly1910:  "Yeah I like the idea of Paddy Andrews taking over as manager a lot more than Joyce staying on. He's had six years at the helm which is a long time in any sport, and after yet another disappointing season it's time for him to give someone else a chance. Even though Galway are no world beaters, they are genuine challengers for Sam, and I firmly believe that they are hamstrung under Joyce. Because of his deserved legendary status as a player, Joyce gets a free pass from the County Board and most of the media, but sorry after last year's absolute **** show against Armagh he was lucky to get even another year at the helm. He's had his extra year, we didn't even come close to winning Sam, so time for Padraic to do the honourable thing and step aside."
Taking over as manager based on what? has he manager any team before, what would he know about Galway, has he even watch a Galway club game or Galway county underage county match? offtheball talk off the top of head is the best place for him.

Anyone hear any Declan Darcy rumours? A lot of people think he could be added to the backroom staff? Or would he take over completely? Random name to but coming up.

I remember the players wanted Joyce gone after his first two years but they came to a deal and brought in Cian O'Neill. I wonder how the players feel about Micky Graham? Will they demand change? Joyce feels more like a Kevin mcstay role and delegates more than coaching.

It's up to the players now. Pádraig Joyce has his all Ireland medals. If the current group want some they need to stand up and demand improvements. They can't even get over the line in league finals
