Replying To Mayonman:  "I think Jack Glynn will start for Mulkerrins. He is a lot sharper. We seriously lacked sharpness at the weekend. Kelly will start for either Daly or Silke. Daly is great on the ball but he is not as good out of possession as Kelly. We need to get more turnovers and Kellys tackling is very strong and usually disciplined. I would definitely start Walsh as well. He looks to be flying. I would hold Damo back. Shane McGrath should start as well. <b>My team</b> Fla Jony Mcgrath Hernon - assuming he's fit Glynn Kelly Silke/Daly Mchugh Conroy Darcy Shane Walsh Shane Mcgrath Mcdaid O'Laoi Finnerty Mcdonnacha/Liam O Assuming Tierney & Thompson are injured"</div>Benching Maher, certainly a plan we haven't seen before that."
Jaysus I must have been half asleep lol.

Definitely an oversight on my part!

I knew i was missing something obvious!!

Maher in for O'Laoi.

The other option is starting Conroy on the bench and starting with O'Laoi. He's got a huge engine and is full of energy. Convoy coming on with 25 to go would be a huge boost.

Replying To ColmFlaherty:  "Mine would be:
Flaherty
McGrath, Hernon, Glynn
McHugh, Daly, Kelly
Maher, Tierney
McGrath, Darcy, McDaid
Finnerty, Comer (if he's ready, which he probably will be), Walsh

Most likely bring on Conroy, O'Conaighle, Silke, O'Flaherty and Fitzgerald"
Tierney out for the final according to Pj. Huge loss

Anyone know the nature of Tierneys injury/ when he's back? Or Mathew Thompson?

Winning connacht has no advantage but prestige, both teams will be in the same bowl for the draw on the 4th may. Galway could get mayo now wouldn't that be an appetiser.

Tierney is a huge loss, he was one of Galways best players during the league. Looks like Conroy will have too start and Joyce ideally doesn't want to do that.

O'Laoi will start, his pace in that middle 3rd will be needed and Kelly will start in the half forwards. Roscommon really struggled in that first half on scraps and Mayo left them of the hook.

Winning Connacht brings the advantage of momentum , the same bowl for provincial Finalists is HQ effort to undermine those championship simply because they didn't get their way to cut their connection to the All-Ireland series.

Tierney is a big loss. Always good to win a couple kick outs and probably Galway's best goal scorer. When he gets a chance for goal he usually sticks it.

Nah cause we will bounce back. Conor loftus going off with a slight injury turned the game to Rosdies in 2nd half went down hill from there. But ye still will get bashed by Rossies. Maybe more then we did since Tierney is out ...

Making excuses already same old Mayo no doubt rossies will be hard bet but look we are going for 5 in a row :) interesting to here Andy Moran say its a 3 yr project after the defeat yet he picked Kobe who is off to Aus where he can actually win something & recalling a retired Hennelly & O Connor who were not good in their prime to get ye over the line. in fact one of your craziest decisions was to start hennelly over Clarke one year and he had a howler for a goal and kicked plenty of long range free wides. Enjoy the few weeks out and wait for the draw :)
