Replying To AnCrúiscínLán:  "I think we could have beaten Donegal, as imo, they're a good, but nevertheless, limited team. But, you're right, imo Kerry would have easily outscored us. So, in hindsight, a bullet dodged.. as we definitely didn't need to be on the receiving end of another beating from Kerry. Always hope though.. keep supporting the lads."
I'll keep supporting our team and the effort they put in, but it doesn't mean we can't question decisions or preparation made by management. Also recent player development can be legitimately questioned of the county board.
The reality is we should be doing better. We're a big well resources county, with a good number of clubs in both codes.
I see the county board are to set up a task force to review all aspects of hurling and football development in the county. Given the poor year we had on all fronts, I'd hope the penny is starting to drop.
While people are no doubt doing their best, whatever we're doing isn't having the desired results, and not even close.

Replying To WanPintWin:  "Right. It's the GAA being biased against us that caused us not to have a fit free taker on the pitch in last year's final, and for the multiple ways Mayo shot themselves in the foot in All-Ireland finals.
I hope you're on a wind-up, like the dozen or so kerry4sam, cork4liam accounts that are popping up all the time now.
Connacht teams are doing a pretty good job boycotting Sam as it is.
If you are being serious, which I hope you're not, explain how the GAA is biased against Connacht teams."
What u said is true to be fair but I am just wondering who from Connacht was involved in FRC?Just a question as I have never heard and all we get on telly representing them is Peter Canavan,Eammon Fitzmaurice and Jim Gavin.

James Horan was on it. There were only 2 from Munster, Fitzmaurice and Colm Collins.

Watching Cian O Neill celebrate will no douby have added salt to the wounds for PJ yday. I dont think we would have beaten Kerry but feel we definitely could have beaten Donegal in semi similar to last year. I presume no news means PJ staying on will there be cahnges to backroom team. Hopefully there might be a few breakouts in club champo which starts this weeekend. I also must say madness to start it on the august bank holiday with races surely could bought it forward or back a week.

Thanks for that.Have heard not one word from James Horan but the others are all over RTE as pundits and analysts.Very hard to listen to RTE with Eamonn Fitzmaurice and Tomas O shea both from Kerry.Where is the balance?Dont get me wrong Kerry were just much better yesterday but should there not have been one Donegal rep on the Sunday Game or could they have gotten totally neutral analysts and presenters.

If you look at the population split of each province, it's actually pretty much spot on. Munster has more than double the population of Connacht, Ulster more than 3 times and Leinster more than 5 times.
I'm not sure if it was deliberately constructed on that basis, but if you were doing it per head of population, that's how would shake out.

Some people might not like it, but Walsh was a beaten docket once Tally left."

To be fair, O'Neill came in for the 2022 season. Some really good outings in those 3 years, especially Armagh QF 22 and Dublin QF last year. Let's not forget either Tally was with Kerry in 22. I remember it anyway as his club mate Hurson reffed the final. I still have not seen that free given against Daly coming out with the ball given since..P.S I'm not bitter!!!!

Similar enough situation. Like Walsh before him with Tally, Joyce didn't replace O'Neill with anyone near a similar standard.

Who's out there to replace him and of a similar standard? O'Neill has proved himself to be one of the best coaches in the game.

Galway backroom team needs a full shake up, but who comes in I don't know.

That's the $64,000 question..

I'd argue Joyce should've pulled out all the stops to keep O'Neill, but maybe he had his mind made up.
All water under the bridge now anyway....
