Load up the wagons for Páirc Esler! We're heading to Mourne country. And if we think it'll be any ways easy, think again. They'll target this for a massive scalp on their home patch and with players of the quality of the superb Havern (top scorer across all divisions in the nfl) along with Murdock, Danny Magill and more, they'll put it up to anyone now. Monaghan were lucky enough against them yesterday, having picked the ball off the ground before the goal, plus the infringement that Beggan punished. Down have beaten Louth, who had beaten Meath, who beat Kerry! So it just shows in this mad and brilliant championship that anything can happen, so we'll have to build on that rip roaring Breffni second half momentum and bring that love for the battle to Newry. Can't wait to head up that road. Let's bring a monster support lads, Newry will sell out, let's get up there for these men and roar them on. Handy for Kerry and DL.

Nothing handy! As well we all know. Since ye Donegal bucks are obsessed with the Galwag forum, I'd like to pass on the message that Jim can relax now that ye won't have to get in the car this weekend up there. Lord above, his attempts after the Mayo match to create a "world v Donegal" siege mentality are comical. togoutlads (Galway) - Posts: 1069 - 16/06/2025 09:27:52 2618065 Link 2 |

I wouldn't call it a handy draw but definitely better than Ballybofey or Killarney. smallfrank (Galway) - Posts: 522 - 16/06/2025 09:34:20 2618072 Link 0 |
There's nothing handy the way we've been playing. But you'd take Down over Donegal or Kerry all the same. Down will fancy their chances against us at home galwayman2 (Galway) - Posts: 1312 - 16/06/2025 09:47:10 2618081 Link 2 |
Down will be well up for it lads, we need to start well and go after them. They are well able to take their scores and have pedigree in the All Ireland so its a test to see if our lads have shaken off the lethargy and stepped it up after beating Armagh. There is obviously some other underlying issue that is leading to such injuries. The source of the problem could be back etc. Got to feel for him; gutting when it happens over and over.

Every team has now lost at least one championship game this year, Armagh the bookies favourites have lost two. Galway, Kerry, Donegal , Tyrone and Dublin all have lost at least one. Its wide open and if Galway play like they did in second half we can beat anybody. hopballref (Galway) - Posts: 443 - 16/06/2025 10:14:06 2618102 Link 1 |

Huge respect for Conor Gleeson. Hes made some crucial saves- he did a brilliant job to deny Paul Cassidy the goal in the Derry game. It would have been game over for us this year without that save. He stood up when we needed him so many times. I actually thought he was robbed of an All Star nomination last year, he had just 1 goal conceded over 9 games - a remarkable clean-sheet record. Confidence and composure is the main thing he's lacking.

Big task up in Down. A game we can win if we play on our terms. suckvalleypaddy (Galway) - Posts: 1749 - 16/06/2025 10:45:28 2618120 Link 0 |
Most of them posters claiming to be from Donegal aren't regular posters on our forum. I'd say they are from closer to Galway than Donegal. We in Donegal, generally get poor treatment from Government, GAA, HSE, Transport infrastructure etc, we have to move on, but we will continue to raise what we believe are inequalities. McGuinness got it right to raise it and one thing for sure, we appreciate this as a Donegal people. Ulsterchamps72 (Donegal) - Posts: 137 - 16/06/2025 11:00:12 2618131 Link 0 |
To say hes lacking confidence and composure is hardly a ringing endorsement for a GOALIE !

Anyone who thinks we will get anything easy up there can think again. We need to be on it next weekend if not we will be saying goodbye to Championship 2025. Can't wait - as posted above let's get a big support behind the lads, they deserve it. ahsure. (Galway) - Posts: 1706 - 16/06/2025 11:24:14 2618155 Link 1 |

I take your point but Roscommon was an awful treck for most of us. 3 hour journey, road works and a detour along the way didn't help. The facilities were terrible as well, 10k stand and no toilets. 20 portaloo's for men and women. No running water. Scenicparish (Donegal) - Posts: 576 - 16/06/2025 11:30:02 2618160 Link 1 |
