Replying To Belclare7:  "Minor in Connacht this year standard was terrible and Mayo won .. after Mayo beat us they had a podcast , Willie John Gunnigan , Martin Carney and Rob Murphy saying everyone needs to realise these lads were only 16 yet and not hype them up then they spent a full podcast talking about Mc Donald and building him up, Unbelievable stuff..
A podcast about a 16 year old.. Any wonder they continue to fail when it comes to big games...
Players listening to this guff and falling into the Hype trap.."
Its not for nothing he was given the name Kobe. Ciaran would deem him destined for greatness . in fairness saw him at an underage tournament a few years ago in Belclare and he was outstanding.

Well that collapse in Sligo was the difference between playing Dublin or Roscommon to get to a semi final.

That game be Armagh now shows up as an even bigger disaster. Roscommon and then potentially Donegal or Louth in the semi. Our championship record against Dublin is grim to say the least. Whatever about the forwards I think we have defenders to cope but we need to try and stop Fenton. Subs going to be massive too, they are bringing on McCaffrey and Mannion.

When will fixture be announced want to know if out sat/sun. That armagh collapse has cost us greatly would be waiting on the rossies after a week extra break & given players a week extra nigglesinjuries etc. Dubs in Croker after 3 weeks on bounce but nothing to lose as expectation is very low. Dont see us getting within 6 of Dubs I am afraid. Shane also an inj doubt granted was very poor as most of team were in 1st half against Monaghan. S Kelly is not himself at all looks injured to me. Too many question marks over us & Dubs will be comfortable.

So be it if we get hammered at the weekend, you weren't even born the last time your county won an All Ireland. Off with you back down the curraghline

No, there's a handful who for some reason keep going on about some Mayo blog and other nonsense.
The rest of us have enough to be worrying about with Galway football.
Inevitable we got the Dubs. The draws in this new format have pretty much always given us the toughest possible, including the groups.
We've paid the ultimate price for the late points conceded in games against Armagh two years running.
It will be exceptionally difficult against Dublin in Croke Park, but let's see what we can bring.

If they had beaten Armagh they would be playing Louth this weekend. That's the end of the season but at least they will have a good idea of how far the are behind. Dublin should have beaten Galway by 30 points in the league il be happy if they keep it to 10 points. Need a new medical team for next year and stop playing guys injured.

Lads lighten up about the Armagh drawn game, it's history. Just like the crossbar in Salthill. Delighted to have a free shot at the mighty Dubs.
And get off the Mayo thing it's pathetic. They are a great team.
Really looking forward to the big game. Hope PJ gives Tomo a start as he must really want a shot at the big stage.
Shane might be a good sub if he is fit. Damo for last 25 min. No pressure on us. Gaillimh Abu.

Tough draw but the All-Ireland champions in a quarter final that's where you want to be. Its a pity that everyone isnt fully fit but we are where we are. We are already written off with the Dubs looking forward to the semi-final which takes all the pressure off the lads.

Fixture time/date will hopefully be confirmed around lunchtime, sometime this afternoon latest.

We were always going to pay a heavy price for the draw against Armagh, but maybe it's no harm being heavy underdogs coming into a QF there'll be zero expectations of us winning from pundits etc. Will need our best performance of the season to have any chance and the dubs to be loose at the back like they were at times in the Mayo game. Read the fact there that we haven't beaten the dubs in championship football since 1934 which is crazy really, no time like the present to try and change that!

Fixture will be announced this afternoon but I'd say we will be on the Sunday. RTÉ only have the two Sunday games and with Louth Donegal almost certain for Sunday they will push for the Dublin game to be Sunday as well. That Louth Donegal game is the worst on paper so they would need the best game on Sunday which is probably Galway Dublin.

Not most of us, just one or two moaners who live near the Mayo border!
