Replying To Kickitout:  "No I'm not him hard believe that was played in March and he hardly got a game since and management playing midfield and backs up in forwards and they not scoring and then they take them off and keep playing them out of position it's a form of madness to do same thing over and over agsin and expect different results,,,, Sean Kelly and Mcdaid prob the 2 players who have suffers the most being played out position they are mere shadow of what they were as players,, I still expect galway win 2 morrow in order 2 do that galway need keep Monaghan to 12 scores it's hard see galway getting much more than 13-15?"
Galway will win.

I'm not sure what has happened to Rory, he was in the squad in March/April but has drifted out since Sligo?

.....did Corofin beat St Michael's in the other semi final? I thought the game was next Monday night the 24th. Did it go ahead earlier or did Michael's concede the fixture?

Replying To breaking.ball45:  "Looking forward to getting to and staying in Salthill this weekend!!

Where do ye recommend for a few pre match settlers and also where to watch the Derry Mayo game after??"
Pre match pint you'd be best going to Killorans it's a 5 minute walk to the Stadium from there and should be a good few in it, weather permitting. After the game walk back into Salthill and head into the Office for a pint they should have Derry Mayo on. The Office is a few door up from Seapoint. Nightlife after that head into town in a taxi it's 10 minutes away and I'd recommend Taafes a great pub with music.

I'd expect Monaghan to struggle toward 10-12 points total certainly, no more if no goal registered.
Galway will own kickouts and possession and will surely post a score of 17-18+

Anyone from Galway thinking otherwise is judging this Monaghan team by reputation, which is nowhere near relevant to today. Monaghan are at a similar level to Clare, Westmeath, Louth, Cavan, Meath, Down etc and would struggle to beat most of those.

This is a run-out for Galway lads, before a big QF

I backed us to win by 7-9 points at 9/2. I am not confident but we should be beating Monaghan well if we are to have any chance at all against Dublin, Kerry or Donegal. How much do you think Kerry or Dublin would beat them by, maybe 10-12 points at least. Not sure of Donegal but expect they would beat them by 7-9 points too. We need to lash into them and not give them an ounce of hope. Will that happen under Joyce I very much doubt it. If we lose Joyce needs to go.

A least it's not on live TV, so hopefully no one ever sees this.

Desperate stuff from Galway in the first half. Zero intensity. Standing off Monaghan. Had the wind behind them. Walsh off injured. Conroy and Tierney with needless yellow cards. Finished the half a bit better to lead by 1. Playing into the wind in the 2nd half.

You'd want to be getting paid on the gate to come in and watch this stuff. Horrid.

Worst first half of football I have ever seen.

Much better 2nd half in fairness but not sure they'll have a lot left for a quarter final next weekend. Can't see Walsh being available that soon anyway.

In the draw that's what that matters.
Much better in the second half driven on by our player of the year elect Conroy.
No pressure on us next weekend which I think will suit us.

Delighted Galway won this game. Monaghan are a serious hard watch and doing nothing for Gaelic Football. Well done Galway for breaking down that rubbish

Dire stuff indeed. Its just so ponderous, as said above you would want to be paid to watch that. We will be massive underdogs in the QF.

A win most importantly but you'd feel we're on our last legs....
Get Donegal we may have a chance...
