When all is said and done, Lettermore came from a dark place to avoid relegation. From what I hear things were not at all good in the camp under the new manager they brought in at the beginning of 2023, they won Division 3b and promotion and the local Comrrtas Peile na Gaeltactha under him playing very defensive football, things went from bad to worse in the championship and the club relieved the manager of his duties after getting a hammering from the Jimmies and replaced him with one of their own their former manager Ciarán Faherty, he kept the other three selectors and although it took a while they changed the whole thing around. In the relegation games they played a fast brand of football and defended well most times. Their game v Killannin was a cracker. it goes to show that when you get the right guys in charge of a team things can change.

It doesn't matter where he played, you said he's the best defender when he's not.

As for five forwards:
Adrian Varley
Glenn Kelly
Cillian McDaid
Paul Mannion
David Prendergast
Cillian O Conghaile
Garry Kelly
Johnny Ryan
Fergal O Se (not in Inter anymore)

That's just off the top of my head. All better than Cunningham who have nothing against just the Brendan's nonsense that does be on here.

Interview with Kieran Fitz on the maroon and white pod reacting to the Corofin victory at the weekend.
It was absolutely cringeworthy to watch the pod presenter asking Fitz about Gary Sice getting to 13 Senior Championship wins, and asked him "are you on the 12 county titles as well".
Fitzy laughed it off and just no, but great to have Gary get to 13 etc etc.

Great to have a podcast about Galway Football and Hurling, but surely the presenter should be getting all the facts down before interviewing lads. Should certainly have known that Kieran Fitzgerald has 14 Senior Championship wins under his belt.

If that's off the top of ur head I I'd not like 2 know what's in rest of ur head ,,,I never said Brendans were a god good team Just said players I mentioned deserved get a chance , adrian Varley a quality player no none score as much as Rory Cunningham and Mairtin Quinn held Paul Mannion scoreless from play and Gary Kelly got 1 point from play ,,

Would maybe scrape into the top 8 in Galway"
It's the best job in Galway that is going to open any time soon unless Don Connellan decides to leave. You are getting the minor and u19 teams that have starred in the last 3-4 years now reaching senior grade and another strong bunch coming behind them. They will get plenty of people from outside Galway looking for that job.

agree, they are clearly not the best run outfit.

Very personal attack. I had heard the same. It's not so outlandish - this club played in Roscommon previously and logistically and culturally it makes a lot of sense.

Would fully agree it was very cringy and awkward surly you would do a small bit of research, in fairness to Kieran he just laughed it off but what else was he to do!!

They don't deserve a chance though. Honestly, if you look at it rationally, they really don't. This isn't Make a Wish foundation. It's intercounty football

What other up and coming and/or ex club managers are vacant I wonder? Any big names floating around. Wonder will micheals bring Glynn in to see if he can get a bounce outa them. Will o Mahoney finish up and hand the reins over to Hanley and army?

Underage success doesnt always equate to success at senior. Its a different ball game when everyone is the same size as you/has more experience and that extra bit of cuteness. Having great numbers (and success) at underage is all good and well until they are playing with grown men as strong as them. Their 'historic' feile team of 2013 are hardly setting the world alight (they are doing a decent job stabilizing themselves as a senior team ).

You clearly don't know what it's like to live right on the border if you think "logistics" comes into it at all ffs.
Imagine Shrule/Glencorrib moving to play their football in Galway.

Well if Martin Quinn marked 2 of ur top 5 forwards in intermediate and only conceded a point surely by ur own standards he definitely had to be brought In and If Rory Cunningham scored more than ur top 5 forwards he has 2 be also unless ur not looking at scoring forwards:/: are u from mayo ,,,

And they would have Roscommon six and 11 jerseys nailed for years with Quinn and Cunningham. Match made in heaven

Very good point in hurling turloughmore is a prime example couple of all Ireland feile titles several minor and u21 and can't make the breakthrough with a senior title

No, I'm not from Mayo. Are you from Roscommon?

I never said any of the lads I mentioned should be brought in. Read back. I said they anre all better forwards than Cunningham which is true. Being better than an intermediate level forward is unlikely to cut in Croke Park, unfortunately.

Whatever chance Ballina had of turning over Corofin looks to be gone. Heap of injuries since they played the county final. O'Hora and Cafferkey injured and likely missing two or three more starters as well. Corofin will beat them handy
