Was at the Glan v Kilconly game. It was even enough overall, ya Glan started to dominate more when Kilconly went to 13 men, especially after Niall Daly went off. Was impressive around the middle.

Honestly, I did not see ref signal any injury time at the end of normal time. Played about 8 minutes though.

Yeah 4 minutes ET was called. Haslam kicked 45 after 6 minutes , that's why Glan crowd thought it was last kick.
Niall Daly was good but niggly all day. Could have gone before if Glan lad went down when Daly was dragging him.
That's what I meant by lacking cuteness from Glan. They struck me as nervous on the day. Still think Kilconly Aran game is too tight to call , if Mannion Marsden and Prendergast play well.

Agreed. I can't see more than a couple of points separating them, whichever way it goes.
In the other semi, I'd expect Dunmore to get the job done, with a few points to spare, but this competition has thrown up plenty surprises before.

Kilconly to beat aran and dunmore to get through, kilconly to win it out they have a good forward unit.
Aran will bottle it as per usual

I heard one of the Aran players interviewed on GBFM recently and he said they are down 3 regular starters this year due to serious injuries including Mulkerrin obviously. A huge blow for a small club with a limited playing pool. Yet they are still back in the mix for promotion like they are most years. Rather than calling them bottlers I'd say they put a lot of other clubs to shame with how they maximise their resources most years.

Dunmore will win their semi final. I presume Mulkerrin is still out so Kilconly should probably beat Aran. They don't have anyone to mark Prendergast without Mulkerrin.

What Aran are doing is remarkable given their challenges. The resolve they showed to get a late goal and beat MB in a very tight quarter-final was the opposite of bottling it.
Dunmore were favourites to win the final last year, had a lead and lost late on by a point. Is that bottling it? They also lost the semi-final the previous year to Cortoon.
Kilconly were knocked out at the quarters for a few years running. Did they bottle those matches or did they did just lose.
Bottling it is usually a strong favourite falling flat on the big occasion, or a team throwing away a big lead when the pressure comes on.
Aran have never been favourites for the intermediate championship. They're punching well above their weight compared to teams like MB. They're far from bottlers.

Resources, yes they have a serious amount of resources, massive money on their coaching team and nothing to show for it, so their the only club suffering injuries? Or a small playing pool? They have more numbers registered then most clubs on the mainland, sure the players all live and train on the mainland, the island is only what they represent.
They are a much better resourced club with higher numbers and more financial backing than the likes of kilconly, kilconly are the David v Goliath here I hope aran bottle it again

Both MB and Aran are established bottlers at this stage, aran have been bottling it for years in league and junior grade, MB have been bottling it for 4 or 5 years now at inter grade

Lads on here from massive clubs would be complaining if they lost 3 of their starting team (myself included).

What they have achieved and continue to achieve is brilliant. They have challenges that most other clubs would never have to face.

I fancy Dunmore to win it out but my heart is with Oileain arann

Plenty talk of bottle, but it sounds like you've been hitting the bottle a bit too much. Some amount of seafóid in your last few posts. Aran can't even field teams at underage.
You're the same lad who earlier this year said young lads and girls shouldn't play Gaelic games because our county board was a joke.
Thankfully our clubs and players have a bit more bottle.

Well they're just mean spirited, unwarranted, unnecessary statements.
Aran have done tremendously well over the years, particularly given their challenges and resources. M-B continue to do Trojan work at underage and adult levels. Both proud and highly competitive clubs.

A big weekend coming up, as senior has reached the knockout stages and we have the intermediate semi-finals.
Mountbellew vs Corofin is obviously the most eye catching fixture. There are a few potential crackers as well as that.

Conor Flaherty I'd be reckoning. Still plenty to learn to get to the elite level goalkeeping at the top today but a powerful yet mobile player, intelligent, comfortable on the ball, booming and largely accurate kicker. I'd be working like heck with him.

Good luck to the islanders this weekend. But I believe its a bridge to far for them with their injuries.

To win the championship would be an unbelievable achievment for a club faced with so many logistic difficulties.

They will get their chance in the next three years and this window of opportunity is short.

If all they learned from there opponents MB in the quater final is to seize the chance when it presents itself as MB know to well. Three years ago they lost there second final in row by a point. They made the quarters this year by the skin of there teeth and seem to be struggling hugely at this grade now and silverware/promotion looks miles away.

Its kilconly and dunmore for me with Dunmore getting the cream.

Islanders next year even with two senior teams coming down.
