Wee question Panama you cudnt have been too impressed with your own club at the weekend.. playing no sweeper against the breeze in the first half was a tad strange. Jim got one All Ireland with Donegal, should have got more with that team. Since then he has not achieved much with any team he was with, at present he is part of Derry City under 19 team,bot a very big job . Well they had Boylan as part of their under twenties set up so obviously the case much like Louth. Didn't you say Jim was never coming back? Typical of this county, there was a fella always telling us on the old Donegal forum that no way was Jim interested in managing GAA again, roryboys I think it was, I have great time for Declan but the man should have been gone after that horror show against Cavan last year, I have very little confidence that this current talented Donegal team are going to achieve their potential under Bonner & co. I am relieved that he is not coming on with another county especially an Ulster one. The goal had a huge element of luck and not even sure about either of the penalty decisions though I do think the foul on Jason probably was. Sean Maguire had been playing a little deeper but was more forward at the weekend. As for Jason he just needs games after so much inactivity. He was in and out of the game at the weekend but still had a huge influence between his off the ground efforts and winning a pen. He has been very closely marked to to which Dungloe deserved credit. I really feel Cloughaneely will need John Fitzgerald to be able to start at the weekend. He says in paper today he was asked by a few counties to come on board as a manager or as a coach. Who's to say Donegal weren't one of them. Well good luck to him whatever path he takes but I am glad this hasn't happened. He was coaching in Louth and a couple of sessions with Galway so not like he hasn't dipped his toes. Whatever went on with Down you certainly won't get the full story in the press.
