Tyrone Vs Kerry Without COVID Talk

Squeaky bum time for Kerry, Tyrone have nothing to lose and if they could nick a couple of goals , who knows. Kerry rightfully favourites but Tyrone won't be a gimme. I think they'll go for it early and see where it takes them.

Can't see Kerry's forward line being held given their goal glut this year, the recent league encounter with Tyrone and the Red Hands' recent covid issues."
No yerrah bud, Tyrone aren't just coming down to give us a game out of the goodness of their hearts, they'll be coming to win and rightly so.

But this is an ideal situation for Mayo now sitting back tomorrow watching Tyrone and Kerry knock lumps out of eachother knowing any knocks or injuries picked up will be hard to recover from in 2 weeks.

Yes indeed and as I said after the league game I'd expect Tyrone to have a big say in the championship. Great the game is going ahead. It was the right decision. People are going on about an ambush. If Tyrone win they win because they are better. Not because of an ambush. I'm hoping for a Kerry win but its not a given. Safe journey to all supporters from Tyrone and Kerry.

Obvious problem for Tyrone is that David Clifford & Sean O'Shea play for the opposition.

Replying To KY4SAM2015:  "I expect Kerry to win the match but I have no idea why the bookies have us 7 or 8 points favourites in the handicap. I don't think we are as good as people are saying and Tyrone are a better team then 8 points off us. Of course nobody knows what performance these teams will bring after such a long layoff but it would be a bit foolish to expect Kerry to turn up and hammer this tyrone team.

If tyrone have the majority of their team fit to play with the likes of McShane and McCurry on form then they are a tough team to beat.

Both teams know that Mayo are waiting in the final and not Dublin, it's a winnable final compared to the last few years especially for Tyrone so I'm expecting a tighter game then what is predicted."
I think it's fair enough that Kerry are hot favourites. Kerry were favourites for the all Ireland even before Dublin were knocked out, amazing when you think Dublin were on a 6 in a row run.
It's over 10 years since Tyrone were considered realistic contenders at All Ireland level, why should we think they are likely to beat one of the big 3 tomorrow?.
11/2 odds on a Tyrone win seems fair for tomorrow (corresponds to a 15% chance of a Tyrone win), this means they have an outside chance, sounds about right to me.

Great to see this new thread.
Have Tyrone announced their team or panel yet? I think it's a step beyond them owing to what happened to their preparation s. A month ago I would have tipped them to beat Kerry.

Yes I can understand Kerry being favourites it's just the 8 point handicap is a bit too much I feel. As i said I don't think we are as good as people think unless we show it a few big championship matched when it matters . The evidence over the last few years show we have been inconsistent.

With the Tyrone covid situation nobody knows how they will perform yet and I do expect us to win but the 8 points difference is a bit over the top as I don't think there is that much of a gap between the two teams.

should be a good game ive a feeling itll be alot tighter than people expect ...allways has to be a 7 or 8 point margin prediction lately ...i do hope tyrone win and i hope they put up a decent score which they are capable of doing .. i dont post here much but seen it posted alot that ulster is competetive in itself but our teams dont hold a candle to dublin kerry mayo etc id like to see that talk silenced in the next few years as its become a lazy narrative

Wake me up when it's over tbh. Expect a poor, niggly game, with bad refereeing, and a tiring Tyrone parking the bus cos they can't run in he last quarter etc. Kerry at a canter. Hopefully, we'll have a more meaningful game next year.

As much as I would love to see Mayo win, I think that whoever wins tomorrow will bring Sam home in a fortnight

Kerry to win this one. I can't see tyrone staying with the kerry fire power. I also think that kerry are seasoned campaigners compared to tyrone. They should have won semi in 2016. They were seriously below par in 2017 and 2018. Should have won the AI in 2019. They were caught cold last year. Wont make this mistake tomorrow. I hope it is a good game and may the best team win on the day.

That Kerry team is scary on paper. Don't think Barry will start. Moynihan, if fit, will start.

Will be interesting to see what team Tyrone have out.

Safe travels to everyone. Orange parade in Aughnacloy tomorrow so get on the road early

Just set your alarm, that'll be an extra ticket for final if Tyrone win. Sleep well.

Pundits and everyone else are saying Tyrone have no chance, I hope Tyrone put in a good performance anyway, hope it's not over by half time, Dublin looked like they had the game won a half time in the other semi so who knows, looking forward to it anyway.

Kerry have good forwards, if they get going they are likely to put up a big score.
